Chrys Jones here. I'm a husband and father of 4. I'm a high school teacher and bivocational pastor as well. I make Christian content as a Christian Youtuber and an amateur meteorologist. My Youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/@theundistractedchristian, aims to help Christians stay focused on Christ when they battle distractions. I have had some highs and lows on Youtube. My first channel got to over 1k subs in a few months, but the views tanked. I started over and made it to 2k subs in about 10 months. One of my videos did really well, but most of my videos don't get many views. It can be exhausting to make good content and be ignored. On facebook, I post local weather videos for fun. Ironically, over a few years of consistently posting, I have built a local fanbase, monetized, and make steady money ($20/month). I still do it for fun because I love weather. I'm here because I want to find a way to make Christian content for the sake of enjoyment whether it gets a lot of views or not. I enjoy cinematography and making highly edited videos, but I don't have the time and capacity for most of the year. So I've got to find a way to just make what I can make and move on.
