A lot of women ask: “What is my purpose?” But sometimes the better question is: “Who am I?” When your identity is built around other people’s opinions, your past mistakes, your accomplishments, or your failures, it becomes difficult to recognize what God is calling you into. Purpose isn’t meant to become your identity. Your identity comes first. When you know who you are, you can pursue what you’re called to do without constantly needing validation. What has been influencing the way you see yourself lately?

I remember a season when I watched other women get promotions, launch successful businesses, get married, buy homes, and share their breakthrough stories online. Meanwhile, I was praying through closed doors, financial struggles, disappointment, and wondering why my life looked so different. What I didn’t realize was that I was measuring my private preparation against someone else’s public harvest. Many women today are exhausted—not because they aren’t working hard, but because they’re carrying the weight of comparison. They believe they’re behind in life because their timeline doesn’t match someone else’s. But the Bible tells us something different. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10 God has already prepared a unique path for you. Your calling isn’t supposed to look like anyone else’s. The enemy wants you to compare because comparison creates discouragement. Discouragement leads to doubt. Doubt causes many women to quit before they ever see God’s promises fulfilled. Instead of asking, “Why is she ahead?” ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me in this season?” Your waiting season may actually be your training season. Your hidden season may be where God is building the character you’ll need to sustain the blessing you’ve been praying for. Don’t let comparison rob you of the purpose God specifically designed for your life. ✨Success in God’s Kingdom isn’t about being first—it’s about being faithful.
