Here is something I noticed that nobody talks about when you are just starting as a freelancer. Elon's companies buy from each other. SpaceX buys energy products from Tesla. They stay in the same ecosystem on purpose. There is a real lesson in that for us. When you try to serve everyone, you end up invisible to everyone. A random small business owner looking for help with AI is not going to trust a generalist they just found online. But if you pick one type of client, say local restaurants, or real estate agents, or coaches, something specific, a few things happen. You learn their problems fast. You get better results. And when one client refers you, they refer you to someone just like them. That is the whole game early on. One niche, real results, word travels. I made this mistake myself. I used to say I build apps and websites and automations and games and whatever else. It sounds like more. It actually gets you less. Pick one type of client you want to help with AI or automation. Just one. What type of client are you thinking about targeting? Drop it below, I will give you honest feedback.
