CERAKOTE/Headlight Magic
I have been using headlight magic products for the last 6 months and I absolutely love them. The results are awesome, ROI is great and Jason is always generous to give away products and training. One of my friends is getting into headlight restoration and I recommend that he buy headlight magic products. He said that he was probably going to get CERAKOTE, mainly because it is a little cheaper. So, my question is, is there any difference between the step 1/ step 3 products from CERAKOTE vs headlight magic? The only thing I have found is that one uses wipes and the other uses a bottle. Both will do 50 sets, although CERAKOTE seems to be a little cheaper if you are buying just step 1 and 3. Like I said, I personally use headlight magic, I'm just wondering if there is any difference/ any reason my friend should use it over CRERAKOTE

Hello everyone, Diego here. I have my first appointment coming up, but I am worried. This is why... I tried the kit for the first time on my vehicle. I did the lens prep. Then I wet sanded (x2) for each grit from 800, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000. Then I used the 3D one compound on the yellow pad with my drill and move on to use the blue pad right after. I cleaned it off really well with a new microfiber rag and the spray water with a couple drops of dawn dish soap in it. I did a pretty and good layer of the new lens ceramic to finish it off with the white little towels that came with the kit. Long story short it ended up finishing with all of these micro scratches that you can kind of see in the video (but very obvious in person). I guess I am wondering what did I do wrong? And is there something that I can do to go back and fix it?

Yes, looks like you did not sand enough before moving to a higher grit. I've made that mistake before, I think everyone does when they are starting out
Didnt get a good before pic
Messing around & Did my wife’s car .. kinda lol… even a half assed job makes it look waaaay cleaner.. haha… think ima hit this full time… such a cool, simple business… anyone else full timing? Get that 500-1k day? Consistently?

I usually get that much in week which is great because I am in flight school, which takes up most my time. Being able to work 5-10 hours a week and make 500-1k is why I love doing headlight restoration.

@Tony Ortega most my jobs are $100 that's my bottom line. I occasionally get a larger truck or SUV in which case I charge $150-$200
New Ceramic Product Question
Jason, first of all thank you for all the great information in the Mechanic Training. I got a question, if I buy the new Ceramic Product, does that come with application pads? If not where do you recommend we can get them? Thank you.
