Ecclesiastical leaders can be great supports during our single years and our church families can provide lots of the family connection that perhaps our own family can't, but does that come at a cost? Many mid-life singles (GenX and Millennials) grew up in an age when bishops were more judges than ministers and depending on our circumstances, it may still be impacting our ability to connect fully with others.
