Wolf Creek Opening Positions
Just got word that Wolf Creek will be looking for two in house (permanent) positions and 3 contracting positions very soon. The 3 contracting positions are for Junior RP's and will last till October 1st, ending with a dry fuel campaign. My guess is they will keep the contractors on until and throughout their spring outage which starts next spring. Very long project either way. Pay will be $36 an hour and $155 per diem per day (the non taxable living expenses). I'll keep you guys updated when it goes live for whoever is interested and qualifies. That being Junior or Senior RP's.
I could really use a referral somewhere, I am willing to work anywhere to get experience. I have no prior experience but know I can pass the tests so I just need help getting my foot in the door. I want to do junior RP if someone will give me a shot, I will take any help I can get to start somewhere before the fall. Otherwise I will be waiting till may to spam recruiters again.
Am I doing everything I need to be doing?
Just want to make sure I’m doing everything I can. I’ve submitted my application to Westinghouse, sent my resume to all the recruiters, and I’ve been calling regularly. I was able to speak with Joey about three weeks ago and he asked me to send my resume, which I did, but I haven’t been able to reach anyone since. Just wanted to ask if there’s anything else I should be doing or anyone else I should contact. Thanks.

Same here, I think we all started too late and just missed the boat this time around. I submitted my resume on the Westinghouse site and via email to all the contractors, the ones that got back to me all said to try again in a few months but everyone from Westinghouse has ghosted me so at least you managed to get one of them on the phone. I am just going to focus on other things and try again in a few months. Michael, any advice on what week/month they actually start looking for people for the fall? Would like to be one of the first in line but don't want to bother them anymore until they actually have a need. I am worried doing so will just annoy them and make them less likely to want to consider me.

@Michael Williams copy that, thanks.

Today, I received my offer for the Brunswick Plant in South Port, NC. This will be my first outage as a Junior Decon. I plan to work this outage to get my foot in the door, take my tests this summer and doing my 2nd & 3rd outage this fall as a Junior RP. I manage to get my brother in as well so we will be doing outages together to cut cost.

I got my application in to the link above and will be sending yet another email to everyone. I live two hours away from the brunswick plant, it would honestly be the perfect place for me to get my foot in the door.

@Sean McDaniel I put in an application here and listed you as a referral, just an fyi. I doubt it will change anything but I figured it was worth a try.
Entry Level
I spoke with Tricia again today and she informed me that Westinghouse has openings for Jr Decon for us entry level people at the Brunswick plant. I was more so looking to probably work an outage later in the spring season but if there are no other options then I may just go with Brunswick in February. Is there anyone else going to Brunswick plant ot thinking of going? Trying to see if there are roommate opportunities

I still can't get her on the phone. I tried both her office and cell. What number worked for you and did you just have to leave a message and have her call you back?

@Sean McDaniel I will email her again and keep trying. Thanks for the answer.
Official Recruiters Coming to The Grid — Spring 2026 Update
Starting Spring 2026, we’ll have official recruiters on The Grid. What this means: - Recruiters will be able to post verified openings directly to The Grid - Easier connection between travelers and legitimate opportunities - More transparency around dates, rates, per diem, and requirements (when provided) More details coming: As we get closer to Spring 2026, we’ll share the rollout plan and how “official recruiter” verification will work. Question for the community: What would you want to see from recruiter posts to make them useful (rates, schedules, badging notes, lodging tips, etc.)? Have a Happy New Year everyone!

I am trying to get my first contract. Will these be open to all or just for people with experience?
