5 Signs Your Child May Need Executive Functioning Support
Many neurodivergent learners are not struggling because they are “lazy” or “unmotivated.” Often, they are overwhelmed, overstimulated, mentally exhausted, or lacking the executive functioning support needed to stay organized, focused, and confident. Here are 5 signs a child may be struggling with executive functioning: • Frequently forgetting assignments or materials • Difficulty starting tasks independently • Emotional frustration during homework • Trouble managing time or routines • Feeling capable but unable to stay consistent Traditional learning environments often focus only on performance while missing the systems and supports students actually need to succeed. At The Topher Collective, we believe students thrive when instruction is structured, strengths are recognized, and support is intentional. What is one executive functioning challenge your learner struggles with most? Drop it in the comments.

Welcome to The Topher Collective | Designed for Strengths. Built for Growth.
Welcome to The Topher Collective. This community was created for neurodivergent learners, families, educators, and advocates who believe students deserve learning environments that recognize their strengths while supporting their growth intentionally. As a special education leader, I’ve seen firsthand how many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they need structure, support, understanding, and instruction designed with their needs in mind. The goal of this community is to provide practical strategies, encouragement, literacy support, executive functioning tools, and meaningful conversations that help learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Inside this community, you can expect:• Executive functioning strategies• Literacy and learning support• Parent guidance and encouragement• Educator collaboration• Resources and live discussions• A supportive, growth-centered environment Please introduce yourself below:• Your name• Your role (parent, educator, advocate, etc.)• One challenge you hope to work through• One goal you have for your learner or yourself I’m excited to grow alongside all of you. Designed for Strengths. Built for Growth.
