Weekend plans?
I’m sitting in the theatre about to watch my eldest in a play. This morning I was cheering my youngest on at soccer and yesterday at her rugby game. Life as all mama sure makes for interesting weekends. What are you up to?

I remember those days attending several different child-related events. It can be so fun, yet exhausting. I went out to a concert on Saturday night - one that I didn't really want to attend because I knew I was emotionally and physically drained. I went because my friend pleaded with me. I said yes, and really enjoyed myself. At the same time, I spent almost the entire day in bed on Sunday. Sometimes we have to listen to our bodies when it says slow down. I did have fun, but at a cost. Not complaining, I made the choice and had fun. It is just funny because I didn't think to coach myself through holding my boundaries.

My focus is gearing up for a class I am taking, which involves finding a client to comment to six weekly sessions. That is the task that I am most worried about. However, aside from that my focus this week is continuing to make progress on launching my coaching practice.

Coaching question of the week 🔥
What is the one thing that you don’t want to do, that you know you must do in order to achieve your goal? Why this is powerful: 1. Helps the client to identify resistance (for example, I don’t want to go to job interviews to get a new job) 2. Helps the client identify complex equivalences (for example, I have to get another qualification before applying for a new role) 3. Helps the client surface limiting beliefs and limiting decisions (for example, I’m not good at job interviews) Activity: Ask yourself this question in relation to one of your goals. Write down your responses. Notice how you feel in your body and what comes up for you. Stretch: Ask this question in a coaching session this week. Extra stretch: Bring the resistance or beliefs that arise for you to our next coaching practice pod and work with a fellow coach to release them.

This is a great question. I started answering for myself, before I started reading the list of why it is powerful. I have so many answers. I'm not sure I know "the one thing." Do you think for goals it general goes back to one main roadblock when trying to accomplish a goal, or is there just generally one that is keeping us stuck?
