Is it self improvement if you use AI?
This morning i used Claude Pro to create a universal framework for becoming the best man you can be. (Attached text file) Then I had it create an HTML tracker, using this document for reference.) For me to personal track all 10 domains. (Im currently a 7.5 overall) Have a read over. If you like it, copy/paste the txt file into your favorite LLM and use it for your own self improvement journey... powered by AI! Ask it to make a personal tracker for you. Get it to create action plans for you to achieve your goals, a spreadsheet to track them, a diet plan, a workout schedule... whatever! AI is just a tool. Figure out how to use it to make your life better. Im discovering new ways everyday Caveat. While it is universal, this framework was designed with the OODA loop in mind. It begins by honestly Observing yourself, Orienting your focus on specific areas to improve, Deciding exactly how to improve (real measurable steps), and putting that into Action. You need to be honest and you need to actually do the work! Now, go read the text file, and OODA loop your way into a better man

@Justin O'Brien your prejudice is showing. Ive found many interesting ways to use AI for self improvement. Last weekend I used it to analyze my exercise and vitamin / supplement routine and I found a few minor tweaks to improve on. Its just a tool. It needs a capable hand to wield it.

@Justin O'Brien I feel ya, but it exists and its useful, if its used well. I started playing with AI because im writing a fictional story that incorporates a complex developmental psychological theory. Input the theory, and input the story and get AI to check that I havent misrepresented the theory... Its good at that kind of stuff. Same with the attached file. I told it what ive done with my own self improvement journey, and asked it check if I was missing anything. After some back and forth and many corrections, we made a decent framework for how I actually do things, and some measurable metrics for achieving my personal goals... Then I turned it into a framework that was universal for all men. Its an assistant. Not a creator. Its retarded in some ways, and a genius in others. I find it a very useful tool. One that im just learning to use optimally.
? For the gents that wear redwings
So today the gentleman that stepped into my life has a spiritual father figure gifted me a barely used pair of red wing chukka boots. Now as you know I have a side gig of cleaning/waxing and polishing boots But he told me red wing guys have some kind of strict routine they use on their boots so please educate me on what’s needed to take care of red wing boots P.s. yes this is my first pair of redwing boots

I wear steel toed red wing work boots. I occasionally use a product designed for leather interior cleaning of automobiles. (Its similar to Armor-all. I use it on my boots. It works.) Probably not what you're after, but its what I use. (My company keeps the stuff in every vehicle, so its handy, free, and it seems to do a good job cleaning and protecting my boots)
gen z dating advice is HORRIBLE
this might not seem ultra related to style, but i’ve seen similar posts made on topics like these, so i wanted to talk about it here too, since one of the focused here is self improvement and the topics related to it. “women are all shallow, hypergamous monsters who suck the souls out of men” “men are shallow, slobby, gross bigots who only want sex” -pretty much every dating coach on social media ever. being gen z kinda sucks in this realm. but one of the worst aspects of it is the dating culture now. or should i say, the mirage of dating culture. social media has done great benefits for us, but in my personal opinion, has done more harm than good, at least when unregulated. echo chambers, messed up dopamine levels, extreme opinions, and a constant feed of biased information are deeply bad for us. a lot of us lack commitment, emotional maturity, and genuine understanding and compassion of others. and one of the worst things to arise from it, has been a massive surge of manosphere content. now i don’t have issues with everything the manosphere has to say. i think it does have good aspects, like self respect, discipline, reclaiming masculinity, and working hard to achieve your goals. those are great things and should absolutely be taught. but then when it gets to its extreme, it gets dangerous. for one, it’s the treatment of women and reducing them down to sex objects and robots. on these online forums regarding incel redpill and blackpill topics, there’s an extremely derogatory and dehumanizing word that gets thrown around, called “foid”, which is meant to reduce women down to harmful stereotypes and dehumanize them. if you really wanna dive deeper into it, i don’t recommend it, it’s disgusting. the other thing i see is the harmful mindset of “us vs them”. now for me personally, i used to be on these deep manosphere forums and consumed the content. professional victimhood is one of the biggest things ive seen. its defeatist, deterministic, “us vs them” worldview that views everyone else enemies, and anything bad that happens, well its everyone else’s fault.

@S. k. Rowe I once had a regular church going "christian" girl try to sleep with me the week before her wedding! She appeared to be a nice sundress wearing "traditional" girl... until she was alone with me. Use caution guys. (TBF, she didnt attend my church, and I met her on a Facebook group.)

@S. k. Rowe If that was the case, she would have been asking for a relationship, and not a one night stand.
Weight Loss Journey
I have officially hit the 50 lbs lost mark! Thanks to everyone in this group that has been an inspiration to me and help me get healthier for not on me but my family as well! This has made me open my eyes to not only being more caring about myself physically but in the sense of a physical body style as well. Style is not just the clothes, it’s the whole package that comes along with it. Thanks to all of you!

Yes! Keep crushing it, brother!
Is is Vanity, or Self-Improvement?
My loving wife has raised a valid point, asking why I'm always taking "selfies" and posting them. I've tried to explain that it's not vanity; it's a highly scientific process for Project: Develop Awesome Style. By documenting my outfits, I'm creating a visual database to track what works and what makes me look like I got dressed in the dark. So, team, I put it to you: is this an advanced personal development strategy or just a terminal case of vanity? I await your expert opinions.

For me, its all of the above. We're a group of snappy dressers, who build each other up. Praise for doing a good job, should be gratefully welcomed as well as criticism when we fall short, or an experiment fails. A visual catalog of your improvements and experiments are scientific. ...if you ever find yourself doing duck lip poses and showing your bum off on Instagram, you've taken it too far😜
