I haven’t been active or social here for a long time now. Truth be told, i haven’t been very social anywhere the last couple of weeks. As for everyone, my mental state goes up and down. Although, being an introvert with ptsd and severe anxiety my downmoments gets very bad most of the times. I then tend to isolate myself more than i usually do, both from other people but also the outside world. I bury myself in studies and overthinks alot. It feels very good to have this community to turn to and seek inspiration and joy in all your posts. It’s so much more than just good looking costumes. I hope you all have a great day!

How do you gentlemen deal with friends that cannot avoid sensitive or tiresome conversations? Me and the wife met a few good friends for a dinner party this weekend. During the evening a few more people join us, and a few glasses of wine are enjoyed. Problem starts here, when politics come up as conversation topics. As you might expect, soon enough the temperature rises as views, opinions, speculations and world solving solutions are tossed across the room. I am myself interested and somewhat educated about politics, but I just find discussing all the quite discomforting events going on globally quite depressing. A nice dinner turns into a deep dive into all that is wrong with the world. :-( I love my friends and they are all intelligent, well-meaning individuals with a good grasp of reality but I don't see the point of discussing all this together over wine and company. I've heard that one should never discuss politics, religion or money and this weekend I really wished for that rule to be applied. How do you deal with loved ones that always steer conversations into controversy?

Wow. I have to say i love my new MTM three-piece from Hockerty. Took a bit of a leap of faith when ordering a full 3 piece without having bought from them before. But fortune favors the bold i reckon. It fits perfect and the fabric is as nice as i expected. So to break in my new 3-piece i took it out for a study session at a local café. The blazer and pants is the same melange beige. The waistcoat is brown/red houndstooth. Topped it with a green tie in a half windsor with beige dots, a green flowerpin and a mossgreen handkerchief. brown oxfords on the feet👍 Hope you all have a great day🏅
