It takes GRIT .... To write a book. To build our business. To play the long game. And, sometimes just to get through the day. Several years ago I did an assessment that determined my top five unique virtues. Zest was on the list. Not grit, but zest is connected to grit. Angela Duckworth's TED talk caught my attention. "In positive psychology, zest (characterized by energy, enthusiasm, and a "joie de vivre") acts as a foundational, energetic fuel for grit(defined as passion and perseverance for long-term goals)."
