A painting that changed something
Testimony Tuesday! Has a piece of art — yours or someone else's — ever moved you spiritually? Maybe a painting that made you cry, or a watercolor you made during a hard season that became an anchor? Art has a way of saying what words can't. Share a painting that meant something to you — post a photo if you have one! Let's fill this space with beauty and story today. I'll go first: This work of art is from my friend, Erika Masterson, a creative genius. She is a fine art photographer who blends nature and humans in very ethereal pieces. The transparency of the layers reminds me of watercolor.

Be still — a Sabbath invitation
Surrender Sunday Today is a rest day. Not a productivity day. Not a "catch up" day. A rest day. "Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10 Notice it doesn't say "be busy for God" or "produce something for God." Just — be still. Know. If you painted today, let it be slow and joyful. If you didn't paint at all, that's holy too. Rest is part of the creative life. What does Sabbath look like for you?

@Lisa Vanderveen I hear you! I've learned that if I try to not be as legalistic with WHEN rest happens, I'm more likely to rest when my body is needing it. Which, sometimes looks like Saturdays. And on those weekends, I find that resetting for the week on Sundays (after worship service) is what my mind finds rest in. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's kind of what's been working for me lately.
Start before you're ready
Motivational Monday! The canvas doesn't care if you feel inspired. The page doesn't wait for perfect conditions. The most important thing you can do for your creative life is simply — start. "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." — Proverbs 31:25 You don't need to have it all figured out. Start with one brushstroke. Start with one honest prayer. Start before you feel ready — because readiness is usually just fear in disguise. What are you starting this week? Tell us!

Setting up a watercolor workspace
Studio Saturday! You don't need a fancy studio to create beautiful work — but a few simple habits make a BIG difference: • Two water jars: one to rinse dirty brushes, one for clean mixing water. Change them often! • Paper matters: 100% cotton, cold-press, at least 140lb. Everything else fights you. • A piece of scrap paper next to your work — test every color wash before it hits your painting. • Tilt your board slightly to control how paint flows. What's your #1 studio tip? Share below!

Goodness & mercy — a worship moment
Faith-Filled Friday Heading into the weekend with this one on repeat: "Goodness of God" by Bethel Music. "All my life you have been faithful / All my life you have been so, so good..." That's the truth we carry into every weekend — that we are followed by goodness and mercy. Not sometimes. All our lives. What worship song is carrying YOU this week? Share it below and let's build a playlist together.
