Unfortunately I have to cancel tomorrow's live, coffee with a homesteader, I have to go to stupid work😫 I work a seasonal job and I'm not supposed to go back till March but hey need me and I could use the money. I'll keep you posted as I may do another live earlier next week.

Welcome everyone to Homesteading Made Simple, please introduce yourself. Let everyone know where you're from, what your experience leve is, and what you hope to learn here in our community. I'll go first, my name is Megan, I live on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada on a little 2 acre homestead we call Sun Twist Acres. I've been homesteading for almost 15 years, we grow a majority of our own food and preserve it here on the homestead. We have chickens and ducks for eggs and meat, and goats for milk and meat. We have raised pigs, turkeys, and geese in the past. I teach, canning, basic cooking skills, soapmaking, cheese making, bread making, gardening, animal husbandry, and more. Through this community I hope to pass on the knowledge I have spent many years perfecting so others who dream of a life like this can achieve it. Welcome and thank you so much for joining me here, this community is your safe place to grow and learn real skills for real life. Now it's your turn🥰

Take some time to look around we have recipes, a canning course, and some polls you may want to look at. To fill you all in we are currently working on sourdough starters. Monday was day #1 and hopefully this coming Monday we'll be able to make out first breads frome them.
