Friday Shine Day!! A new way to look at the beginning of your weekend!
Inspired by @Becky York & @Lya Kilbane Before I post a discussion - I read through the comments and feel inspired, today this jumped out and I wanted to share this with everyone. Becky opened a discussion saying: "Today is a hard day for me. I normally look forward to Friday evenings after a hard week at work and look forward to my Friday bottle of wine. Not this week. I've brought some alcohol free beer but not the same feeling 😕 Tried noseco and don't do it for me. Xx" Lya offered up some of the wisest and encouraging words: "Ok we need a new label for Friday for you. ‘Friday she so fine day’ 🔥 Because she’s glowing from making the best choices for herself x" WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT? The anchor's and associations linked to making a change are rooted in habit's, these habit's start with associations to many things including days, people and feelings etc. This can leave one feeling powerless and dissatisfied. Awareness over these habit's can be hard to hold on to because habit's feel so automatic & normal to us and may some kind of relief!! Sharing these feelings requires courage, putting it out there in this way is being accountable. Becky's awareness of the links and associations have give her a opportunity to build some leverage and agency over how she see's Friday's! What Lya offered was quite frankly remarkable, offering Becky a whole new meaning and purpose to what Friday's may mean to Becky in an empowering beautiful way. The new language was linked to the goal and was loaded with lots of positive re-enforcement. Exactly what we all need sometimes (Thanks @Scott Thomas Its working😁) Becky's response acknowledged this! ❤️🚀💫 From Friday Wine Day to Friday She Fine Day & Friday Shine Day (So we can all get involved!!) Friday She Fine Day/Friday Shine Day means Becky has ownership and agency over the choice to allow her to shine and gain awareness over the day,
