When Was Your Last Audit?
Doing the screen time challenge with Matthew’s community made me realize how much time I was spending without noticing. That awareness carried over into other areas of life. Then I watched a Hormozi video where he explained how outsourcing simple things like meals, laundry, and house cleaning can give you back entire weeks each year. I already have someone who comes to clean the house, has also been helping organize & downsize for mental clarity (I feel like your environment is a big deal) and I’ve been working with someone on a meal prep system for us. It got me thinking… what else could use an audit? I started with subscriptions. In one quick pass I canceled 6 of them that seemed "little" but they added up and were costing me $85.67 a month. Stuff I wasn't using or they weren't working like they should. That’s over $1,000 a year saved. Part of that savings is because I also went to cancel Audible, and of course they suckered me into staying with 50% off credits for three months. They always get me with that one. (Go see if they offer you a discount, if you want to keep them and get it for less.) Next, I’ve been looking at my wardrobe. The idea is to make it no-thinking, grab-and-go.. similar to Hormozi’s approach, but with enough variety so my kid doesn’t see me as “Mom always wears the same thing, boring.” These small audits add up. And the same applies to our communities... We can step back and ask: What are people really using? What do they find helpful? What feels like clutter? What do they want more of and what less of? It’s amazing what you uncover when you pause to run an audit. 👇 When was the last time you did one in your life or your community? What did you cut, adjust, or keep?

I’ve been looking into time audits, trying to find more of it. Not just for me to build this thing, but also to spend more time with our kids. For example the grocery store near us only charges $4 (!) for someone to shop for us. We pick it up still, but the $4 saves like an hour a week. A trade I’d make every time

@Lisa Vanderveen haha yes that’s definitely a concern. We’ve had a couple issues, never with the produce, but it was a trade we were willing to make. Like if they don’t have an item we wanted, they give us a substitute item and sometimes it is not what we would have picked 😂 oh well!
Wise Words From Sam Ovens
I saw a comment from Sam this morning and I thought I'd share it all with you. For me, I believe this is something a lot of people face, especially when building their business/community.

The First Thing You Should Focus On In Any Community
If you want a community where people stay, connect, and buy… this is where it starts. I really believe in the message of this video, so much so that I made this the first video in every community I own, so every owner, admin, and support role will have this vital information. So before you worry about loads of content in the classrooms or sales tactics, you need this in place first. It’s simple, but most people overlook it. And when they do, their community never really takes off. Watch this first. Use it to shape how you build and lead your community. And if your community is already running, use this as a reset to spark stronger connection and retention starting now. After you watch, tell us in the comments: Are you actively helping others make friends in your community? If so, what’s working? If not, what’s one thing you could try this week? If you want to do me a huge favor, I’d appreciate you liking it on YouTube and sharing it with another community owner or team member you know. It helps spread this message, and more communities need to hear it. 🥳 Bonus points if you tell us your thoughts on Pineapple on Pizza!🍕🍍

If I went to friends/family house and they ordered pineapple pizza for dinner, I’d eat it. But I’d never order it myself, so I’m not sure where that puts me for the poll, I guess I’m out on it As for the community stuff, the video was helpful. It’s easy for me to say now that I have not done a good job helping people make friends in the community How do you do that while staying ‘on topic’? Or maybe I just need to do a better job of finding those questions that ARE on topic that everyone can relate with
