Preaching voice experiment
So I got a wild idea that I am trying this week. I often work a lot on my manuscript coming out of the PPG work to get it into my voice. I went on Claude and played around with developing a prompt. Claude asked to upload 20 handcrafted sermons I've done in the past to analyze my voice and style. I've used that to help get my Preach360 manuscript way closer to what I normally do, and I'm pretty stunned with the outcome. For one thing, it was pretty interesting to have Claude analyze my voice and style and to describe it. It was very spot on. And the output is pretty uncanny after I ran it. Has anyone else played around with this?

@Scott Nichols I’ll share what I did soon
Sunday Wins and Lessons Learned
I'd love to hear about any "wins" this past Sunday and/or "lessons learned." Even when things don't go as we'd hoped, that lesson learned can be applied next week, making what feels like a loss actually a win in the long run! - What did you experience that went well? - What do you think you'll do differently this week? - Did you try any new delivery ideas from the workshop? And remember that tomorrow is our workshop on how to plan your sermon prep week. Would love to see you there: https://www.skool.com/preach360/calendar?eid=1557f0f986cf4fd796bc2a8708747665 Yours, by grace alone, McKay

@James Pavlic I'll keep chipping away at it! Great work on your end!
Transform Old Sermons
Trying out turning old sermons into PPGR format by uploading an old audio recording worked really well. Thinking about uploading old outlines next. Has anyone done that yet?

@McKay Caston @Scott Nichols where do I get started with this in preach 360?

I want to revisit an Easter sermon I did in Luke in '22 for this Sunday.
A Little John Frame?
Hey @McKay Caston, I found the video call yesterday encouraging and helpful. Especially reminders around "being yourself", and preparing your voice and body. Did you know that Tony Robbins will get on a rebounder before he goes on stage? Not that we want to channel Tony Robbins. I often do cold plunges at home before I go to get a little dopamine hit and a little extra wake up juice. And I really needed to hear the whole, know your into and closing cold. I wanted to see if you've ever worked in Frame's tri-perspectival approach into your application. I gave that a whirl this week. Not sure if you'd like to see that or not or if you have any push back. I hope it's okay to experiment in this way. I find this to be the weakest part of my sermon. I don't think that's an issue with the PPGR framework you have crafted. Just wanting to work on this aspect of my sermon more.

@McKay Caston it might not be a warm up but it is the most incredible natural boost you'll ever get! 🄶

I had Richard Pratt in seminary. He of course taught Frame's approach, but funny enough never said that. So it wasn't until later that I figured out Frame's influence on Richard. Here's my current Response section... Response - Sonship Received "How do I live a restored life?" Because we are secured in the royal Sonship of Christ, we are now free to abandon the exhausting labor of self-creation and the anxious gatekeeping of our earthly heritage. We get to rest instead as humble, ordinary links in God’s unfolding story of grace. When we view our life through the lens of this gifted Sonship, our entire reality is reorganized. The Normative Perspective: The Law of the SonBecause we are united to the True Son by faith, the "Law" is no longer a ladder we climb to reach God, but the "house rules " we keep because we love the Father. After all, He wants the very best for us. We move from forging a name to honoring THE Name. For example, keeping the Sabbath isn't just a Sunday or day off thing. We live it out everyday. We can now work from a position of rest. You get to work hard at your job NOT to prove you are someone, but because you know WHOSE you are. The command to do all for the glory of God becomes a joyful relief when you realize God’s love for you isn't tied to how productive and efficient you are. The Existential Perspective: The Peace of the FootnoteHow does our internal heart-life change now that our audition days are over? We move from being identity nomads anxious to belong to a promised security of belonging to God. Let me pause and be clear: When we use the word "Sonship," we are using a legal term of inheritance. When Paul says "you are sons of God in Christ Jesus," he is addressing both men and women. In Christ, every woman is given the full legal standing of an heir. Ladies, you're not second-tier, but fully adopted into the royal line. Because of this, you get to live as a "Happy Footnote." Consider a man like Melchi from verse 24. We know nothing about him. He lived his life, raised his family, remained faithful in obscurity, and died without ever seeing the Messiah. But his ordinary, quiet life was exactly the kind of material God used to build the Kingdom. When you feel the urge to self-create or defend your ego, you get to grace-scroll your own history and say: "I don’t need to be the hero of this story; I belong to the One who isThe Hero"
SWOT Sermon Analysis, and Feedback
So I did not clear this with McKay and I have not used it in the new platform yet. But I just had the idea what if I asked the Gemini preach 360 module do a SWOT analysis of my sermon manuscript. And I was kind of blown away by it and then I asked it how it would potentially work the feedback into my sermon manuscript. And it was really good so you might consider trying it sometime yourself and next week I will try this in the actual platform that McKay has built and see how it works there. If you don’t know, SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Here is how you can take that SWOT analysis and use it as a surgical tool to improve the manuscript. 1. Addressing the Weaknesses (Polishing the Architecture) A. From "Slick Alliteration" to "Organic Movement" - The Problem: Alliteration can sometimes make the congregation think they’ve "checked the box" once they’ve written the word down in their notes. - The Fix: Don’t announce the "D" words as points (e.g., "Point one: Declared"). Instead, use them as thematic pivots. Start the section by describing the experience of being "Declared," and only land on the word at the end of the movement. Make the alliteration the summary, not the skeleton. B. Deepening the "Doubting" Module (The Henegar Lens) - The Problem: It currently diagnoses doubt as a "mistake" or "sadness." - The Fix: Frame "Doubting" as a form of primal pride. We don't believe God because we want the "control" of being our own judges. C. Increasing Scriptural Density (The Ortlund Lens) - The Problem: The "Types" (Adam, Israel, Joshua) feel like good ideas but need more biblical "connective tissue." - The Fix: Briefly mention the specific echoes. When you talk about Israel in the wilderness, mention that Jesus quotes Deuteronomy—the very book given to the generation that failed the Jordan crossing. When you mention Adam, hint at Romans 5. This shows the congregation that this isn't "clever preaching"; it’s "biblical theology." 2. Maximizing Opportunities (Deepening the Theology) A. The "Union with Christ" Factor (The Federal Head Lens) - The Opportunity: This is the "engine room" of the sermon. - The Fix: Use the phrase "Federal Representative." Explain that when Jesus waded into the water, he wasn't there as a private individual; he was there as you. B. The Holy Spirit as the "Bond of Union" - The Opportunity: The dove is more than a symbol; it’s a provision. - The Fix: Emphasize that the Spirit "landed and remained." In the "Dwelling" section, tell the congregation that the Spirit is the one who convinces our hearts of the Father's delight when we are in the wilderness. We don't "rest" by our own willpower; we rest by the Spirit's power.
