On my way back from Scotland
The yellow crop is rapeseed. Canola oil. If you zoom in you can see a little seaside town. This is on the east coast of Scotland.

What are you doing up there?
How will you move forward this week?
Often our jobs prepare our week. We also have those specific things we have to get done personally (dentist etc.). Looking beyond that stuff, what is one thing you are going to do that is going to move you forward in your life this week?

@Andrew Nelson It’s amazing how much removing yourself from the problem can help. Have a good trip.
The Pain of Discipline or the Pain of Regret - You Choose
We are living in an era where many in the world have more than we need, and we are bombarded with the chance to make our lives easier...home delivery of groceries etc. This ease of life can make it easy for ME to want the extra chocolate, the extra sleep in, the extra time surfing the internet. It eats away and doesn't train my discipline. I used to see the word "Discipline" as something I wanted, but was scared of. Now I see it can help me build my own sense of self-worth. As Jim Rohn said, "We suffer one of two pains in life, the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The pain of discipline weighs ounces, the pain of regret weighs tonnes."

I'm a person that would much rather prefer the pain of discipline, however, sometimes too much causes me to miss out on the important things in life. There is a balance there 🤔

This is a Big Welcome to @Gaby Tzeschlock who I know from Achology. Another Modern Applied Psychologist. Gaby is based in Tipperary, Ireland and is originally from the Black Forest in Germany (please correct me if I am wrong about the forest name Gaby). I have a quote I will post in a second from a meeting I had with Gaby this morning. Welcome Gaby.

What is conditioning?
Fact, when I am bored or under stress I reach for the buscuit tin (cookie jar). Two questions today: What is one of your unconsciuos go-to stress release actions? Where did you learn that?

For me, it used to be a cigarette, and now it’s a vape. Not a solutions, but improving 🤣

@Andrew Nelson I was told by my dentist that I must vape. Probably not very compliant, but a better option. I’m unlikely to fix this one properly, but a step in the right direction.
