WHEN SURVIVAL MODE BECOMES A PATTERN
Not all survival mode looks like fear or crisis. Sometimes it looks like constantly being busy. Struggling to rest. Expecting something to go wrong. Feeling overwhelmed by small things. Or being physically present while your mind is already thinking about what comes next. The interesting part is that these patterns often started for a reason. They may once have helped us cope, protect ourselves, or get through a difficult season. But a pattern that helped you survive one chapter may not be helping you live the chapter you're in now. So here's something worth reflecting on: What is something you do automatically because it once helped you feel safe, but may no longer be serving you? You don't have to change it immediately. Start by noticing it. Awareness creates choice. And choice creates the possibility for change.

@Katlego Sundani - Yes, we can all learn to be a little kinder to ourselves, especially when it comes to resting and taking time out from the busyness of life. "You can't pore from an empty cup". Have a great RESTFUL Saturday. 🤍
STOP WAITING TO FEEL CLEAR
One thing I see quite often, both in coaching and in everyday life, is how easily we can get stuck waiting for clarity. We tell ourselves we need more information, more certainty, more time to think, or some sign that we're making the right decision. But sometimes, more thinking just creates more noise. Clarity doesn't necessarily arrive before the decision. Sometimes it comes because we make the decision, take the next step, and learn from what happens. So I'm curious about you: Is there something in your life right now that you've been waiting to feel completely clear about before taking action? And what do you think might happen if you simply gave yourself permission to take the next intentional step?

@Katlego Sundani - I love that "Productive Procrastination". I might steal that one from you. The business venture sounds exciting. While thinking through things is a very good thing, too much thinking or overthinking as you said, can often lead to paralysis by analysis. We get stuck in the work of analyzing the opportunity instead of getting it going.
WHAT BROKE YOU DOESN'T HAVE TO DEFINE YOU
Most of us have parts of our story we'd rather have happened differently. A failed relationship. A career that didn't work out. A decision we regret. A betrayal we didn't see coming. A period where we lost our direction or simply weren't the person we wanted to be. But Kintsugi offers a different way of looking at damage. The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery doesn't attempt to hide the cracks. The repair becomes part of the vessel. Maybe that's true for us too. We don't have to go back to who we were before something happened. We can take what happened, learn from it, let it sharpen us, and build the next version of ourselves with greater awareness and intention. The question isn't whether life will break you. The question is what you do afterwards. So here's the question for the community: What is something you've been through that changed you for the better, even if you wouldn't have chosen to go through it?

@Katlego Sundani - That's very inspirational. Thanks for sharing. As someone who went through a very painful divorce as a result of the infidelity of a partner, I can identify with your experience. It too, made me a better person, but only after I managed to put all the pieces back together. Yes, you ARE worthy of love. You ARE deserving. You WILL attract the right relationships into your life.
