I recently played in a crazy online PLO squid game (unlimited bounty game). the blinds are 10/20/40, one squid is worth 120, the squid is paid from bankroll, not stack (means one needs to pay squid regardless, even he quits the game) min buyin is 2K, the stack can be retreated after 5K (whales like to keep stack short in general), game played 7 handed. Game is played in 1 hr limit, rake is 3% of winning, loser doesn't need to play. there are big whales there -- at least 2 whales/table vpip is 85%, and 60%-70% time goes to showdown. I am wondering if there is any edge in this type game. Is anyone familiar with this game? like strategy, how to know if there is any edge there? and how to quantify the edge? One thing is clear, this game generates ridiculous amount of rake to the house. Thanks in advanced
