Took this back in October in Maine from the car, wasn’t exactly thrilled with it. So I decided to play with some presets in light room and make it look a little ominous. Original vs heavily edited one.

My Rating For This Photo 9/10 Shot on the Sony A7rIV, LENS GM 24-70 f/2.8. SETTING: 1/125sec f/8 200sec I think this is a striking black-and-white landscape with a strong mood. The dramatic sky, dead trees, and wide open space all contribute to an atmospheric, almost haunting feeling. I think the composition works well in B&W. B&W enhances the mood, the textures of the bark, and the clouds. The fallen branch in the lower centre-right creates depth and leads the eye into the scene. The two main dead trees provide a natural left–right balance. The horizon sits nicely in the lower third, giving ample space to the stormy sky.
