Retention postcards
Part of retention strategy was these little postcards, we now pop them in with any new customer box and anyone who hasn’t ordered in over a month and orders again, the postcard along with a free “surprise veggie pack” (two varieties of veg we have lots of) as a thank you. The postcards cost next to nothing to order, think this will be a bit of a winner. Probably need someone with much better handwriting and grammar to write them though 😂

@David S Long way round... I download a full customer csv from the advanced search page, then look for the two columns last box date, this box date. I pop in a column next to them with a formula to calculate the difference, then sort the spreadsheet by that column. So can then see any above say 28 days and highlight and print to put on the packing white board. Not ideal but the data is on that spreadsheet (csv) from Ooooby.
Dual packing lines
Been thinking about the convo last night on separate packing line for extras and the u shaped area. @Laurence Jarrett-Kerr you shared this is how Soul Farm do it... I like that idea but wondered how you handle extras that are already on the mainline for example 1kg of potatoes as an extra where it’s also in the core boxes. Is that pre packed into the U area, or do they go and get it from the main line?

Or would the line 2 area also have loose potatoes to weigh, and anything else that might be an extra even if its duplicate to line 1?

Hi all, tried this new setup for packing today and can confirm it is much much quicker and more efficient and even saved packaging too! 1 line for core boxes, 1 u-shaped setup for extras and custom boxes. I really thought that core boxes would be done super quick and I would be chasing my tail on the extras line but it was quite the opposite 👍😀 Will continue to test next week as the bank holiday has affected our order numbers but first trial is very positive
Recording for Week 4 is now available 🎥
You can find it in the Week 4 folder. If you have any questions drop them in the chat.

Sorry I dropped out of the call last week all, look forward to seeing you all again Friday
Ideas for a welcome letter....
Maria's team reached out and asked for some words to use in a welcome letter that can go in the box on first delivery. This is the one I wrote for our customers. We used to write in by hand the date, drivers name & our signature. It made it personal and also meant we could print 10-20 off in the office at one time, made it more efficient. Put it in a nice brown envelope and off you go.....the same letter can also be used for re-activated customers and instead of Welcome, your write Welcome back....it's a nice touch. Feel free to share any ideas about how you do this.....
