Still focused on my health. From further blood tests, we can see that my health is improving slowly but surely (tsh went down. and in other tests, it showed that ApoB went down a little. CRP slipped into the optimal range. HDL stayed the same. LDL went down. etc) Added the supplement Glutathione to my arsenal (the master antioxidant in everyones body that helps so many body functions) and I'm starting to consistently take Propolis (bee medicine) but supplements won't make as big of an impact as your diet. I've been eating all the right foods, but now I'm making sure I'm getting all the benefits from them by buying organic from a family farm (before then, I was just buying the cheapest eggs, ground beef, etc). I had the mindset of waiting until I was rich to start buying organic foods from farms but this health issue forced me to look into the difference. Farms sell groceries at a similar rate to the generic grocery stores. Some things a little cheaper, some things cost the same as supermarkets, and some things are a little more expensive. Nothing drastic. When it comes to buying in bulk from stores like Costcos, Sam's Club, etc, I can see the appeal due to the savings but doing that very thing is most likely blocking you from feeling your best. Sourcing matters. Just like supplements, do you know where your food is coming from? Do you know if the company/brand you're consistently buying from has integrity when it comes to putting out the best product? For example: Grass fed grass finished beef that comes from a God loving family farm is going to be better than factory processed grain-fed ground beef pumped with growth hormones, antibiotics, etc. Not only does family farm beef give you more benefits (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, omega 3s, etc) but they also don't come with the negatives that the factory meat comes with. I believe this health issue is truly a blessing in disguise. If it wasn't for this hypothyroidism, I would've put off doing blood tests and buying truly organic whole foods until the later future. Now I see that these things aren't optional, they are a necessity if you want to be operating at your best potential.
