My property is in Guadeloupe: Guest Profile Summary Most Likely Guest TypeSmall families or couples looking for a peaceful beach getaway in Guadeloupe. Primary Purpose of StayRelaxed vacations or weekend escapes centered around beach time, snorkeling, and enjoying the natural surroundings. What They Value Top Priorities - Quiet and peaceful environment - Easy access to the beach (walking distance) - Comfortable living space for relaxing indoors - Reliable WiFi (for light work or staying connected) - Space to spread out (not cramped) Key Features They Care About - 2-bedroom layout (flexible for couples or small families) - Open-concept design for a relaxed, airy feel - Proximity to beach (10-minute walk) - Calm, non-touristy atmosphere - Separation from nightlife and crowds Potential Concerns Common Questions or Hesitations - “How difficult is the walk back from the beach?” (steep hill) - “Do I need a car to get around?” - “Is it suitable for kids or older adults?” - “How close are restaurants or activities?” What Could Cause Friction - The steep hill may be challenging for less mobile guests - Guests expecting nightlife or walkable entertainment may feel isolated - Guests with mobility limitations may struggle with access - Misunderstanding the distance vs. effort of reaching the beach Fit Guidance Why This Guest Is a Strong Fit - They are intentionally seeking calm, nature, and beach time - They don’t mind a short walk (even with a hill) in exchange for quiet and space - They value comfort and simplicity over nightlife and convenience - The layout suits their group size perfectly (2–4 people) Who Is Not a Good Fit - Elderly guests or those with limited mobility - Party-focused travelers or nightlife seekers - Guests expecting flat, effortless walkability everywhere - Large groups or guests needing more than 2 bedrooms

Early check-ins. Not by much but often a few minutes early.
Automatic bookings or request-to-book — what’s your approach?
Curious to hear how everyone here handles bookings. Do you allow automatic bookings, or do you prefer request-to-book so you can review guests first? For full transparency: I personally started with request-to-book, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind in the beginning. Lately, I’m testing automatic bookings to see how it fits with the systems I’ve built and the kind of guests my listing now attracts. I don’t think there’s a single “right” setup — it really depends on where you are in your hosting journey and what helps you feel in control rather than reactive. What do you use right now, and why did you choose that approach?

Always reviewing guests first, I like to know their stories.
