👋 I'm Austin— and I want to learn what it looks like to be in sales and follow Jesus Post body: 👋 Name: I'm Austin from Wyoming. 💼 My Role: I'm learning and actively working towards becoming a closer ✝️ My Question: One thing I'm wrestling with about being in sales and following Jesus is how many dishonest and unfaithful people there are in sales. I’ve worked in various different kinds of sales and some have been great some have been the average sales org that just wants to squeeze every dollar out of people. So I’ve been working towards finding something that I can be passionate about while still actively serving others. Because sales is just serving people. 🤝 How I Can Help: One thing I'm good at that I can offer this group is I have a deep understanding of the Bible and what Jesus says about a lot of things and specifically sales.

Growing up, my faith was a bit of a mix Catholic by birth, baptized as a baby, even an acolyte for a while. Then in my early teens I joined a Christian church here in Salvador, and not long after that I was teaching at Sunday school to another kids, We used to go out and “win souls,” as they called it, inviting people to accept Jesus as Lord, admit we’re all sinners, and commit to living by His word. As I got older, life happened, and my connection with God became inconsistent. Even in those quieter seasons, I never stopped respecting Him or feeling grateful, but I lacked a real connection to Him. Then, in a one-on-one conversation, with @Christian Jack he gently just said, “seek your spiritual side” if you want something beyond SALES! and it’s genuinely changed things for me. It’s only been a few weeks, but I’m building the habit of showing up, whether it’s here or another church, still figuring out exactly where I belong. I trust God will make that clear when the time’s right. Honestly, words can’t fully express the joy of feeling His love again not just respecting His wisdom from a distance, but actually being close to Him. That’s why I’m excited for this group. I don’t recall ever being part of a community of people who believe in God. See y’all tomorrow. Praise the Lord we owe Him everything. 🙏

One of our responsibilities during our sales calls is to help our prospects identify the limiting beliefs that have thus far prevented them from getting the outcomes that they want in life. But whether or not a belief is actually serving us isn't determined by whether it's helping us get what WE want. Because here's the thing: what we want is often already the problem. In this week's Bible study we'll be evaluating beliefs through the lens of the Bible. Which ones are limiting, enabling, and actually empowering us to live like Christ.
