Keeping her occupied and trying to create some sort of routine but also allowing some free time.
Core Values
Just watched welcome video. My core values are to be a calm parent/grandparent. To not lose my cool and never harm my child emotionally or physically. To raise a happy child who is as self-sufficient as she can possibly be. My gaps are that I am very frustrated and I need to get over my anger about this situation. This is not the life I was expecting and that I wanted at this age.I want to love her more than I love myself.

I am a grandmother of a 6 year old autistic/ADHD girl. She has lived with us off and on for the past 3 years but we now have legal custody of her since her mom died last November (my daughter). I am really struggling and am in therapy but need all of the support and information that I can get for this new journey that we are on. I feel completely unprepared and unqualified for this. She’s been having lots of tantrums and is not eating well and starting to pull away from me when she doesn’t want to do something that I am asking. I feel like things have gotten worse in the last couple of weeks and I am very fearful for the future. My way to unwind is to go outside and listen to the birds and enjoy nature. I don’t get to do enough of that because now she has an extreme fear of flying bugs and won’t go outside! I also love to read in bed after she has finally fallen asleep at night.
