5 Things That Made My First Week Launching on Skool a Success
Here are some things that I did in my first week launching on Skool that have my community off to a great start. Already getting tons of great feedback from members and people asking to upgrade their membership level. Feel free to ask me more questions in the comments, and thanks to @Sid Sahasrabuddhe for all the help, and @Ted Carr for inspiring this with one of his videos I found very helpful 🤘

@Kristie Chiles Arp glad they helped! 👍
Free Trials
Please add free trials. Some kind of timer would be nice to see as well to add urgency. Maybe in their payment options even, a timer with an upgrade button perhaps. Or even a dynamic countdown that says: "1 day until you lose access" I'd really like to see this, just putting my vote in. Makes for a very nice parlay into the group especially as a bonus add on when you sell a course. @David Sekera and I had a fantastic conversation the other day about the power of free trials and I really wish Skool would offer this.

I think ANY free trial option, whether that's 7-day or 14-day or whatever, would be better than none. I saw significantly more people sign up to my program when I had a free trial, and now that I switched over to Skool payments I'm considering going back to my other system just because that seemed to be so much more effective.
Members not able to sign into our Skool Community
Yesterday a couple of my members said that they aren't able to sign in to the Skool platform and are still unable to sign in. They get a "Skool is having a hiccup" page. One of them said they can access via the Skool app on iPad but not via the browser. I'm trying to get more information from them on what browser they're using, but I'm wondering if there's a known bug or any suggestions I can give these members to solve the issue. They're all older guys, so not the most tech-savvy unfortunately. Anyone else having this issue recently? @Sid Sahasrabuddhe

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe Ok, it's unusual that 2 people messaged me about the same login issue on the same day. Haven't had that problem before. Sounds like one of them is using Safari on the iPad and can't get in that way. Will see if I can get more information about their device and browser.

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe My member said he's using Chrome on his computer and gets this message
Introducing "Discovery" — Explore Communities and Get Discovered
Now you can explore all the communities on Skool! This has two benefits: 1. Members can find communities that interest them 2. Communities get found by members (free advertising) Open your switcher (cmd + k) and click "Discover communities" to explore. You can search for anything, browse categories, and filter by free/paid, and private/public. We rank communities by an engagement/quality score. The more engaged your community is, the higher you rank. This means the better you make your community, the more members you get. Watch the video below for more info. Enjoy 🎉

Cool new feature! And I appreciate the extra “free advertising” you gave me @Sam Ovens by searching “guitar” and showing off my Skool community, Chase’s Guitar Academy 🤘
Why aren't you participating in the membership challenge?
The Membership challenge is underway. Some people are on track to make $15k MRR ($180k /year). Why aren't you participating? I'm curious...

Adding in the payment for some of my members broke the system I had with Kajabi integration and doing a free 7-day trial. Now when people sign up via Kajabi to get a link to join the community they can't join without paying again, OR I have to send a manual invite link that complicates and confuses the people that just joined for a free trial. Makes the process instantly a hassle for them instead of an easy process, and they extrapolate that the rest of the community will be like that. Would be happy to hear a solution for this, but in the mean time I'm focused on other aspects to improve.
