@Sidney Smith Thank you for the warm welcome, Sidney! I’m proud to serve as the Board Chair and CEO of Jucoban Community Recovery Foundation. Right now, we’re building a strong leadership team and foundation for long-term success. We have two licensed medical professionals joining our leadership, a dedicated leader in the proposal stage for our sober living initiatives, and an investor who believes in our vision. We’re also actively seeking additional partners and investors as we work toward acquiring our first facility. One thing that is going well is that we’re taking the time to build the organization the right way—with compliance, governance, strategic partnerships, and sustainability at the forefront. Our vision is to create a continuum of support, ranging from independent living and housing stability to partnering with licensed providers for direct care services for those who need them. Applying for grants once the 503 form is approved, I want to make sure the grant writing is correct. My biggest concern is making sure we grow responsibly. It’s easy to move quickly, but I want to ensure every program is compliant, financially sustainable, and truly benefits the communities we serve. My focus is on building an organization that will still be making a difference decades from now, not just today. I’m excited to learn from everyone in this community and look forward to sharing ideas and growing alongside other nonprofit leaders.
