I had a conversation yesterday that reminded me of something I see ALL the time with coaches... They genuinely want to help people but they don't always feel comfortable charging for it. They just wanted to help people change their lives. This is obviously a wonderful quality to have as a coach. But it can also create a strange internal battle… “If I really care about helping people, should I be charging them thousands of dollars to do it?” And I've never really understood why those two things have to be in conflict. If you could help somebody create a breakthrough around something that's affected them for YEARS… Why shouldn't you be well paid for it? If you could help someone finally break a pattern that's been destroying their relationships… Holding them back in their career… Damaging their confidence… Or stopping them creating the life they want… Why is it somehow more noble to charge $50 than $5,000? We don't seem to apply that logic anywhere else. We don't expect the surgeon to say, "I just really love helping people, so don't worry about paying me." 😂 The desire to help people is EXACTLY why I think you should become exceptionally good at creating breakthroughs. Because the better you become at helping people transform… The more impact you can have. And yes… The more you can charge for doing it. Those things don't have to contradict each other.
