🔥 CAPACITY JUNE | WEEK 3 — TAKE IT PUBLIC
Today you ask for something publicly. On your platform. Without the apologetic preamble. Here is what that can look like: “I am looking for a graphic designer who specializes in personal brands. If you know someone or are that person, send me a DM.” Direct. No “I know this is a long shot” or “sorry to ask.” “I am navigating something in my business right now that I have never dealt with before. Has anyone here gone through [specific thing]? I would love to hear how you handled it.” Specific need, real question, no disclaimer about whether you should be asking. “I have been wanting to collaborate with someone in the [industry] space for a while. If you are building something and think there is an alignment, I am open to a conversation.” Asking for connection without proving you deserve it first. “I need more testimonials from clients I have worked with. If we have worked together and my work made a difference, I would be so grateful if you would share your experience.” Asking directly for what you need without minimizing the ask. “I am looking for referrals this month. If you know someone who [specific description of ideal client], I would love an introduction.” Stating the need without over-explaining or apologizing for it. The ask has to be real. It has to be something you actually need. And it has to go on your platform — not just inside the School where it feels safe. Drop a video under two minutes inside the School with your link. Notice what it feels like to be seen needing something publicly and to stay with that feeling without immediately over-explaining or retracting the ask. MEMBERS: Support each other and comment on each other's videos!

Done! Thanks for the prompt. The referral network ask was very timely so that's what I used!
🎬 Out Loud On Camera Challenge | Day 1
🎥 WELCOME TO THE OUT LOUD ON CAMERA CHALLENGE!!!! Introduce Yourself Like You Mean It. No bio. No credentials list. No “so basically what I do is.” Look into the camera and say your name, what you do, and who you do it for. One sentence each. That’s it. Say it like you already know it’s enough — because it is. 🗣 Start with: “If you're new here, my name is ___, and I help ___ do ___.” FEEL FREE to put your own twist on this. I am giving you a prompt to start with but ultimately you want to sound like you! 📲 Record it. Post it to Instagram with the hashtag #OutLoud. Drop your Instagram link or the video itself below. 👀 I will be reviewing videos here throughout the week. 🎉 BONUS: Comment on other members videos here inside The School or on Instagram. This helps you train the muscle of sharing your words, voice, and celebrating others out loud. Welcome to the challenge, OUT LOUD SCHOOL FAM!!!!!

Video recording help!
Good morning ☀️ Does anyone have any tips on video recording? I feel like my camera is not at eye level on my large monitor. Do you use your phone or laptops and read your notes on the screen or set it up some other way? Thanks much!

@Sarah Dickson I’m thinking more for podcast type interviews but thank you!

@Vasavi Kumar No, asking for tips on how to record where the camera is at eye level and see your notes when either recording a training or conducting interviews, thanks!
Mirror work is powerful!
Did some mirror work this morning then recorded it! So proud, thanks Vasavi for holding this incredible space for all of these powerful voices! Our voices are meant to be heard. Will share one here.

🔮 AMPLIFY SESSION — THIS THURSDAY, MARCH 19
Out Loud School Fam — we have something really good happening this Thursday and I want to support you in showing up prepared. @Sarah Dickson, my Operations Manager, and I will be leading the call. Now if you don’t know Sarah, she is the woman behind the scenes of my business every single day — and she has an amazing ability to look at your messaging and immediately see what’s off. The unclear positioning. The language that’s quietly shrinking your authority. The one-liner that sounds good but isn’t actually landing. She clocks it fast. And this Thursday she is bringing that same eye directly to your messaging. Live. On the call. 🎯 Want to be reviewed? Drop your answers in the comments below: 💬 What you do (your title) 💬 Who you help 💬 What your mission is 💬 What offer you’re currently selling 💬 Your one-liner (an “I help…” works, unique statement even better) 💬 The pain points you focus on 💬 The transformation you create 💬 Your main social media platform Keep it concise — no essays. Submit by Wednesday, March 18 so Sarah can prep before Thursday's call. This one is going to be good. Don’t miss it. 🔥
