Not naming them, because the point is the pattern, not the person. The receipts: 101 Google reviews, a straight 5.0, a $125 per year maintenance plan with repeat customers. This is a genuinely excellent business. Their entire website is a free site-builder subdomain. The URL is a random username dot wixsite.com slash four letters. Now the six checks. The URL check. Would you say this address out loud on the phone? "Go to schandy-something dot wixsite dot com." Nobody has ever completed that sentence. FAIL. The 3 second check. Can a stranger tell what they do, where, and why you'd trust them in 3 seconds? The page opens with a generic template header. FAIL. The thumb check. On a phone, is the number one action reachable with a thumb without pinching or hunting? FAIL. The one action check. Is there exactly one thing the page asks you to do? There is a quote form, a phone number, and a services list all competing. FAIL. The proof check. 101 five-star reviews exist. How many are on the page? Zero. The single most valuable asset this business owns is not on its own website. FAIL. The ownership check. Do they own the domain, the leads, the content? No domain. Form entries live inside the site builder. If that account dies, the business's web presence dies with it. FAIL. Zero for six. And this is a GOOD business.
