This month, we continue building on that awareness by moving into how we express what’s real. We’re revisiting High-Way 5: Honest Communication. This is not new content—it’s a continued practice of bringing awareness into real-life conversations, especially when emotions are present. This month’s reminders include: • Using “I-language” and asking for what we want clearly and directly • Noticing and navigating unsolicited advice, defensiveness, and difficult reactions • Turning off triangulation and staying in direct communication • Staying grounded when responding to family, friends, and co-workers Because honest communication isn’t just something we understand—it’s something we practice in the moments it matters most. And each time we pause, notice, and choose differently, we strengthen both connection and self-trust within our IDW lifestyle.
