I love this! Now we need the other 48 states to follow behind Florida and Texas.

@Rick BTCMiner Yes, I agree. I felt so much safer because of Ron DeSantis.
Hossein Pedran executed in Isfahan on charges of ‘spying for Israel’
Hengaw – Saturday, September 19, 2026 Iranian authorities have secretly executed Hossein Pedran, a 41-year-old information technology professional sentenced to death on charges of “spying for Israel,” at Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd Prison). According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Pedran, a resident of Isfahan, was executed at dawn on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Mizan, the Iranian judiciary’s official news agency, confirmed the execution and stated that Pedran had been sentenced to death on charges of spying for Mossad and Israel. The outlet claimed that a search of his home uncovered a notebook containing classified information related to missile programs and several encrypted storage devices. The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights strongly condemns the opaque judicial process and execution of Pedran and warns of the growing use of the death penalty in Iran in cases involving national security charges. Hengaw has learned that Pedran was arrested in Isfahan in June 2025. Iranian judicial authorities and the judiciary’s media center accused him of “espionage and intelligence cooperation on behalf of Mossad,” “transmitting information about military and missile sites in Isfahan,” and “receiving payment.” An Isfahan Revolutionary Court sentenced Pedran to death, and the Supreme Court upheld the sentence after his appeal was rejected. Although the judiciary claimed that a lawyer was present during the proceedings, authorities have disclosed no details about the sentencing branch, the duration of his interrogation, the lawyer’s identity, his access to independent legal representation, or the documented evidence supporting the accusations. The proceedings remained entirely opaque. Pedran was a website specialist and business consultant and worked as an expert at the Isfahan-based knowledge-based company Gostarsh Tarahan Naghsh Almas (iNoti).

Turkey’s banking regulator has revoked the operating license of Iranian lender Mellat Bank’s
Turkey’s banking regulator has revoked the operating license of Iranian lender Mellat Bank’s branch in Istanbul after more than four decades, according to a notice published in the Official Gazette. “It has been decided to revoke the operating license of Bank Mellat, Head Office in Tehran, Istanbul Turkey Central Branch,” the notice said. The decision was taken under a provision of Turkey’s banking law allowing authorities to revoke a bank’s license if its continued operation is deemed to pose a risk to depositors’ rights or the security and stability of the financial system, Reuters reported. The notice did not cite US measures or any specific operational problems at the bank. Earlier this month, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on Turkish investment bank Golden Global and two subsidiaries over alleged links to Iran. Washington also tightened measures against Iran’s aviation sector under Operation Economic Outcast, sanctioning 36 targets on Sept. 8, including 27 Iranian airlines. https://iranintl.com/en/202609181462

At least 20 Kurdish children summoned and interrogated in Oshnavieh
Hengaw – Thursday, September 17, 2026 Iranian authorities have summoned and interrogated at least 20 Kurdish children in Oshnavieh (Shno) over their social media activity amid an intensified crackdown ahead of the anniversary of the state killing of Jina Amini. Something a little more light, cute, and fascinating
Meet the latest member of the cat family—proposed name Leopardus tilcayo, a feline smaller than an average housecat, covered in leopard-like spots, and native to Bolivia's Yungas forest ecoregion. What began as a call from a wildlife sanctuary about a "weird cat" led to years of study and the eventual identification of the first new cat species in over a century. Now, scientists hope the methods that led to the discovery could help find more new cat species around the world. Learn more about Leopardus tilcayo: https://on.natgeo.com/yswD2y
