Green Irish Tweed by Creed
I won this 250ml decanter at a perfume auction. A classic that is said to be King Charles’s favorite fragrance. A timeless perfume with a masculine, green, and fresh scent that lasts all day. Everyone likes it, it doesn’t bother anyone, and it’s suitable for any occasion. So what?

Oxford by Roberto Ugolini
„Terre d‘Hermes“ for the connoisseur. If there is such a thing as a “business fragrance,” this is it. Masculine, woody, spicy and slightly citrusy without being overpowering or intrusive. The sillage stays close to me and exudes elegance and confidence. The brand originally stems from an old family of shoemakers in Florence…for a good 10 years now, they’ve been creating fragrances there that radiate understatement and nobility rather than brash self-promotion.

One week…only coffee-fragrances…
Once again, I’ve chosen a theme for my work week.👔🧑‍💼 And this time, it was coffee scents.☕️☕️☕️ I wore a different perfume every day. (see video with funny/stupid german music) 😄🎼🎶🎹 Monday: Intense Café by Montale Tuesday: New Haarlem by Bond No.9 Wednesday: Awake by Akro Thursday: Vietnamese Coffee by D’Annam Friday: Coffee Addict by Theodorus Kalotines I felt awake all week :-) Best scent? Hard to say… But the Vietnamese Coffee is quite authentic without being too sweet. The best value for money is definitely “Coffee Addict.” A sweet and spicy milk coffee… A true niche fragrance for €50.00

Hermès Eau d’Orange Verte
After testing Hermès Eau d’Orange Verte, I can understand why it’s considered a classic. Created by Françoise Caron in 1979, it still exudes incredible freshness and refinement today. Hermès describes it as vibrant orange, mint, and moss, and that aligns well with my experience on the skin. To me, it smells bright, green, and distinctly natural more crisp and leafy than sweet. The citrus notes are immediately noticeable, but they’re complemented by a soft mossy, aromatic undertone that imparts an elegant, timeless feel, rather than coming across as a basic fresh scent. On my skin, it’s incredibly easy to wear and genuinely refreshing, especially when I’m looking for something clean and uplifting. However, I must mention that its performance is a bit limited. It wears more like a traditional cologne. with a longevity of about 4 to 5 hours on my skin. The scent’s projection is around 30 minutes of a personal bubble, followed by a transition to a more subtle skin scent for the next 3 to 4.5 hours. Final Thought: I would describe it as a sophisticated, naturally scented citrus fragrance that maintains its freshness and elegance even today. Although it is not a long-lasting scent, nor its projection doesn’t become overpowering; instead, it exudes a classic, masculine green citrus fragrance, as it was intended to be.

This one saved my life in Abu Dhabi, Summer 2018, 50 degrees Celsius….A completely ridiculous walk in the midday sun to a museum...

@Erick Tai That was the problem. The museum was closed, and there wasn’t a taxi in sight. And there we were, a bunch of clueless tourists, standing in front of a building in the middle of nowhere, forced to walk a good 2 km under the scorching sun… Funny in hindsight… But we had this fragrance in a bag…:-)
Vietnamese Coffee by D‘Annam
This is a cozy, realistic coffee scent with creamy sweetness. The fragrance features rich coffee notes, condensed milk, lily of the valley, tonka bean, chocolate, amber, and cedarwood. Longevity is moderate (around 5–7 hours), while the sillage and projection are soft, staying close to the skin after the first hour. Overall, it’s an intimate, comforting gourmand rather than a loud performer.
