Creative layering experiences…
I just came back from a Maison Crivelli event. And as is often the case with these kinds of presentations, I didn't really like any of the individual fragrances. I usually end up layering the fragrances on display. Here, I really liked the combination of Safran Secret and Cuir Infrarouge in a 3:1 ratio. The dark saffron scent was given a warm, sweet creaminess by the raspberry and vanilla. Have you had similar experiences with other fragrances? I'm always interested in creative combinations.
A little warmer = A little warmer Scent
It's 40 degrees today so according to my Ai spreadsheet this scent fits right in with the temperature. Evidently the Intense version of Barenia is meant for much colder and tops out temp wise in the high 40's. I'm not sure I agree, but today is the Barenia EDP. I've been a fan of this for quite some time and it tends to be a fan favorite around my house and office. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!! Here's some ChatGpt for you all: Barénia – Hermès (Original Eau de Parfum) Fragrance Family: Woody / Leather / Warm Spicy Gender: Unisex Style: Smooth leather, dry woods, warm spices, subtle florals Perfumer: Christine Nagel Vibe: Quiet luxury with warmth and polish — effortless, tailored, intimate Barénia takes its name from the iconic Barénia leather Hermès uses in saddles and high-end bags — buttery, soft, warm, and beautifully tanned. The fragrance is a wearable interpretation of that leather: dry, woody, subtly floral, and warm. This is not dirty leather. Not smoky. Not animalic. It is luxurious, refined, and elegant — the olfactory equivalent of an Hermès leather jacket or a freshly conditioned Barénia Kelly bag. ⭐ Scent Profile — Full Pyramid Top Notes - Citrus zest (bergamot, possibly mandarin) - Fresh spices (pink pepper, soft aromatic warmth) - Aromatic herbal nuances (a signature Hermès brightness) The opening is clean, woody, lightly spicy, and uplifting — very sophisticated. Heart Notes - Barénia leather – warm, soft, supple, lightly sweet - Patchouli – earthy but smooth, grounding - Warm spices – nutmeg/cardamom warmth - Floral undertone (a light jasmine/geranium nuance) The heart is where Barénia shows its identity:elegant leather + dry woods + warm spicy glow. Base Notes - Woods (cedar, dry amberwood) – structural and clean - Oud (light, polished, very subtle) – adds depth, not loud - Balsamic resin – soft, warm, comforting - Earthy notes – gentle grounding - Soft musk – clean, skin-like finish

You can never go wrong with a fragrance from Christine Nagel. :-)
Must have fragrance accessories?
Hey everyone, I’ve been getting more serious about collecting lately and wanted to hear from people who’ve been in the game longer than I have. Besides the bottles themselves, what accessories or tools do you consider essential for a smooth (and enjoyable) fragrance-collecting experience? I’m thinking things like storage, decanting, organization, travel items, maintenance, etc.—but I’m open to anything you’ve found useful. What are your must-have accessories, and why? Any specific brands or products you swear by would be awesome too.

Many mini atomizers and funnels or pump bottles so that you can bottle and share the fragrances with friends.

Just take a look at the popular platforms. There's a huge selection there. I usually buy small (2–5 ml) glass bottles or 5 ml pump sprayers with a bottom valve. I'm lazy and often want to save myself the trouble of spraying through a funnel. :-)
Emerald Green / THOO
Sweet orange with cardamom, pepper, musk and a pinch of „ambra“. It's gotten warmer again and I didn't feel like wearing a gourmand fragrance today...
