Great idea to know your food is safe
Something is hampering veg growth?
I have been growing veg and flowers for as long as I remember. And their management as a groundsmen of an estate. I have over the last couple years I have noticed something, but not being able to put my finger on what that is. Plants struggling to take hold. Mature plants just giving up the ghost. Plants not putting on healthy growth in prime conditions. In the estate there are many ornamental shrubs biannual and perennials. The biennials would be prolific self seeders. This year it has been so noticeable that biennials have not grown. The perennials seem stressed where grow has been weak. This has also noticeable in the allotment and the orchard. The apple and pears are carrying 70% less fruit this year. Early veg has been weedy. On the estate there watering systems so it not down water stress. This is well drawn water I would add. It feels like there is some changing and I don’t buy the climate crisis. Is anyone else noticing similar issues???

I'm still relatively new to growing, I've struggled the past 4 to 5 yrs getting anything but lettuce. This year my cauliflower are all leaves nothing else, cabbage are not doing well either, onions and leeks are not doing well either, they're won't be anything really to eat. Have to say even though i have heirloom seeds, not all of them germinate, it's almost as if THEY don't want you to be self sufficient.
Chicken coop
Do any of you guys have chickens? What type of feeders and storage do you use for feed etc, that i can make without buying expensive commercial/shop ones Thanks This is my coop, no chickens yet still lots to do to prepare for the girlie's. Any advice would be appreciated (I did have chickens (10) quiet some years ago but starting again, only getting around three or four)

@Fiona Franks thanks, I had chickens from lucky hens quiet some time ago, started with three, then the email came, so another three, eventually ended up with 10, lovely little creatures

@Allys Farmer h mm yes was wondering about that, don't trust them not to make up a bird flue incident in purpose. It's only three hens, when I eventually get them
Importance of wildlife
We’ve been adding more things fir nature especially for the birds 🦅 We are 100% chemical free growers and the importance of nurturing nature is huge Encouraging bird bees and bugs is crucial as we move towards a better more sustainable growing environment 🥰❤️🙏

@Tina Ward as usual THEY create a problem and come up with a solution, that costs you and me, time, money and restrictions on our way of life
