Getting value from mastering.com
Now first off, I want to say this is not a dig at the team or anything, more about me than the site. I am struggling in getting involved with the site and was wondering if others could tell there success stories and how they got the value out of the site and the team. Just to inspire me.

Happy to hear you booked a call; those are very helpful! I've been in for two years. I did finally release an album (my initial goal) which had been in the oven for 10 or 15 years. It's far from perfect, but I'm happy to have met a goal and gone through the process for the first time. Here are some things I've learned to help me get more bang for my buck: 1) In the intensives, and some of the Fix the Mix offerings, @Caleb Loveless has talked about developing a positive mindset. For example, turn "I can't be perfect" into "done is better than perfect." Research positive mindsets or growth mindsets and identify your own mindsets. See how you can rephrase them. Post them in your studio! 2) You really need to block out time in your schedule to work on this stuff. Divide your weekly blocks into time for learning vs. practicing/experimentation with plugins vs. producing your own stuff (I've been good about visiting my own originals, but I need to get back to the curriculum and work through it). Take breaks, too: I try to set an alarm for 25 minutes, then get up and stretch for 5. You're in the right place!

@Filipe Pereira Thanks!
How to avoid AI?
Recently, I've seen posts by artists who are committing to producing without AI. My question is, where is the line crossed between a plugin that is programmed to react and process sound and an AI plugin? If my plugin has a "learn" setting, is that necessarily AI? Are there resources out there that provide guidance for those of us who want to use as little AI as possible?
Hears Perfection
Anyone have a thought or two regarding Hears Perfection from Brainworx? I’ve been needing to work on calibrating my listening environment both on headphones and with my speakers. Plus, the plug in was on sale, $80 off on Plugin Alliance, so it seemed like a good time to take the plunge. Also, I do have Ollo headphones so my initial thought would be the Hears would be instead of as opposed to in tandem with the Ollo set up. Thanks for all your help and hope all are well and busy.

@Nathan Hershfeld I meant Master Fader. I have a L/R Submaster that feeds to the Master Fader. I use it for overall EQ and limiter.
How Long To Keep The Limiter On?
After we get our foundation set and we apply the limiter to perform the stress test, do we keep the limiter on the entire time we're mixing or is it just for the stress test and then turn it off?

@Rob Mayzes But we take it off if we are sending it to someone for mastering, correct?
MP101 MIDI & Virtual Instruments
Hi all, This is what I did for Production / MIDI & Virtual Instruments - 16 bars of 🤔 ... jazz / chillout / big-little band / whatever. But it's cool and I like it 🙃 MarkT_MP101Midi&VirtualInstr16Bars.wav - Google Drive

I enjoyed this . . . great attitude from the horns. Can I ask what you used for virtual instruments?
