Hi TJ! I’m at 8,000 in Taos, NM. Just an hour south of the Colorado border. I just purchased on a south facing mountainside. I’m going to start by building a long greenhouse on the south side to collect as much passive solar heat as I can and extend my growing season. The earthships near Taos are fascinating creations that implement so many of the principles that are important to me. Examples are using greywater to cycle through plant beds and grow food in the connected greenhouse. Thermal battery heat storage to help heat the house and greenhouse. And many others! I’ve always said I’m solar powered, so this lifestyle suits me well! Permaculture and planting in guilds is how I plan to start in terraced areas near my home. Please share more about you! Carol
