OK, I've emerged from my High Holiday fog... and we're going to finalize this meetup TODAY so I can promote it in other groups! I'm starting to think either Westlake or Capitol Hill stops -- what if we went with 5 pm at either Annapurna... or just to the Nordstrom Grill? Nobody's ever in there in the evenings - I've eaten there before shows more than once and there is no problem getting a table, and the food is good. For Annapurna (or almost any other restaurant but Nordstrom) we will need a headcount and to try to reserve a table! We could do 6 or 7 pm at most restaurants, but Nordstrom closes at 7. PS - If we do Westlake there are many options so we could always shift on the fly if something goes awry. Please weigh in NOW so we can lock and load!

Hey Seattle peeps! I'm the new mayor in town... and I see there's no post where people can introduce themselves, make connections and collabs happen! So THIS is that post. I'll start: I built and sold a paid community for life-changing money (2011-21), before Skool. That's right, I'm a community dinosaur! Now, I run Community Growth Academy, where you get the proven 7-step system I used to launch my first community to 100 members off the bat. I'm also opening Sell Your Skool, where high-MRR founders learn how to think like a buyer in order to get a big payday in their exit. Chance to learn from my mistakes on that one, as I could have gotten more. And in my 'free' time, I ghostwrite books for thought leaders. I started my career in journalism and then freelance writing - my first community was for freelance writers. Yes, I have totally flunked retirement! Though we ARE traveling full time in our RV for 2 years now. I like contributing and making a difference in this world. Excited to make Seattle the hottest city on the planet for Skool IRL networking! What do you do and why do you do it? Let's get acquainted here.

I'm starting to get some Googling around (and thinking about where I've enjoyed), and haven't seen any nominees from the peanut gallery. What would you prefer? Obviously, some of these we'd need to bring in food possibly, others we could order.

OK, we've said Wed. 9/30, we've said somewhere in downtown Seattle. Let's nail the TIME, so I can start promoting this on Skoolers! I'm willing to do any of these, but leaning toward 7-9 myself, so we can think just drinks and snacks rather than having to figure out full-on dinner. But we could do separate checks maybe? Or maybe 4-6 and people who want could stay on and order more food? Weigh in now please! I'll decide when I get back from family camp, so leaving this open until 9/8. Then we move on to venue choice.

Exciting discovery -- @Goose Dunlavey will be here next summer! The schedule for the Skool bus tour has just been announced. That means we have about 9 months to build this into an epically happening group so when the bus rolls up it is an epic summer Seattle party. Help us get started: PLEASE take the poll and to help me finalize the TIME we want to meet up downtown on 9/30. Still also taking venue suggestions! I hope to announce a few possibilities for discussion by early next week.
