Hey @Alf Marcussen and everyone! 👋 I'm Carol, based in Calgary. I'm definitely in the "drowning in tasks I shouldn't be doing" camp — which is exactly why I'm here. I used to run a remote cleaning company, and hiring was honestly the thing that broke me. Finding reliable people, managing them remotely, keeping systems running smoothly... it was BRUTAL. Eventually I shut it down, but that experience sent me down a rabbit hole of automation and AI. These days I help service-based businesses streamline operations with automation (lead follow-up, appointment booking, client systems, etc.), but I'm realizing there's still so much that needs a human touch — and that's where VAs come in. What I'm hoping to learn here: how to actually build a remote team the RIGHT way. I don't want to repeat the hiring mistakes I made before, and I love that Alf is teaching the battle-tested systems instead of theory.
