Hi, this is Carol Johnson, Jefferson, GA. I have been a student bagpiper for six years and it gives me great joy! I started this venture a bit late in life - but it's never too late in my opinion! I am finally venturing out of my comfort zone, as I have made a commitment to myself, to do a solo competition next year. I haven't nailed down a location yet, but that is my plan. I have only performed solo, twice - once for a friend's wedding (one piece) and once for my mom's funeral (one piece). I would like to join a group, but it's somewhat overwhelming for me to make that commitment. (But if I don't do it now, when will I make it happen, we don't know what the future has in store!)
