Time and Health
“Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.” ~Denis Waitley TAKING ACTION: ✅Consider today’s message and ask yourself how you can honor both your time and your health. What can you do today that nourishes both? Share with us below! Time and health. The first one, you can never get back. The second one, you can potentially improve—especially if it’s dependent upon your nutrition and fitness habits. Either way, they’re the two things in life we struggle to appreciate until after they’re gone. 💯 When I contemplate the overall truth of this, I desperately want to pour more into appreciating both more. It’s easy to allow busy schedules to build a list of excuses, but at the end of the day, these two things greatly matter—and I believe we should focus on finding ways to: 📌Make the most of every day. 📌Do what we can to promote good health while we’re here. I challenge you to focus on this thought throughout the rest of the week. Find ways to honor both your time and your health for the next few days, and beyond!

Happy Monday!!
“April showers bring May flowers…” 🌺 TAKING ACTION: ✅Tell me one thing you’re willing to do today to set yourself up for a stronger future! Bonus points for picture proof in the comments below! Happy Monday, friends! It’s the final week of April! I encourage you to make the most of this final week and set yourself up for success in May. As the quote above implies, the rain today will produce flowers tomorrow. The work you do today directly impacts your tomorrow. The hard work today sets you up for growth tomorrow. The effort today sets you up to thrive tomorrow. You can think of this in terms of days, months, or years—it really doesn’t matter. The point is that what you do right now is what determines how your future will look. 💯 With that said, take some time to consider what you can do today to set yourself up for success in the future—and then take action. Do the same tomorrow. And the next day. And the next. You get my point. If you want the flowers, you must also accept the rain. 🫶
Happy Monday!!

“It’s important to eat a wide variety of foods to ensure we’re getting all the nutrients our bodies need.” ~Unknown Generally speaking, most people overeat carbohydrates and do not consume enough healthy fats. By incorporating carb cycling into our lifestyle, we’re able to balance that out and fuel our bodies with the healthy fats they need for heart/brain health, blood sugar control, and reducing inflammation. Then, of course, we eat the carbs, too. And the treats. See, balance. 😉 Let’s eat all the healthy fats today, and burn through those glycogen stores. ⬇️Today’s Low-Carb, Gluten/Dairy Free Recipe⬇️ Buffalo Chicken Egg Muffins - The Real Food Dietitians

Exposure Therapy
TAKING ACTION: ✅After reading today’s post, what is one thing that is just outside of your comfort zone that you can do today? Share with me below! You’ve GOT THIS! 💥 Have you ever heard of exposure therapy? Exposure therapy is often used with patients who have a fear of something or have experienced some sort of trauma in their lives. In short, the therapist will ask the patient to interact with the very thing they fear willingly. Not all at once. Not in a huge dose. But instead, in very small doses. The next step is never taken until the previous step feels doable. For example, if someone has a fear of getting on an elevator, he/she might be asked to take one step towards the elevator. Once the person feels comfortable with taking one step toward the elevator, the rest of the journey may look like this ⬇️ - Taking two steps toward the elevator - Taking three steps toward the elevator - Walking all the way down the hallway to where the elevator is - Pushing the elevator button - Just standing on the elevator while keeping the door open - The steps continue until the person eventually willingly rides the elevator This is what exposure therapy looks like, and our health & wellness journeys are somewhat similar. Maybe we don’t have a fear around our health & wellness journeys, but the steps (and outcome) are similar. Choosing to do something just outside of your comfort zone (but not so big that it defeats you) is the way. Eventually, you get comfortable with it, and you’re ready to take the next small step just outside your comfort zone. Do you see the pattern? The rain today is what produces tomorrow’s flowers…🌺

Funny your elevator choice.i was caught in an elevator last year, over a hour by myself… it’s not how you see on tv … it got dark and hot and there wasn’t an escape hatch above ( like I could get up there ) lol .. fireman rescued me… not the calendar kind! Real fireman…. I rode that elevator again today! Got on closed my eyes pushed 3 and arrived safely. Told myself hey BREATHE! You did it!
