Drawing session
These are the best 10 drawings I’ve recently done on drawing sessions . They around from 15 to 30 minutes poses . I play with the composition, going from general shape to the anatomy knowledge , keeping it mainly from 2 to 4 values and managing as posible the soft and hard / firm edges . Any feedback is welcomed.

Finding Beauty in Hard Times!
I noticed something beautiful while reading introductions from members here; many of us started caring about art, or came back to it seriously, during the pandemic. That time, though full of fear and uncertainty, seems to have reminded so many people of what truly matters. Hardships can quietly turn our minds toward beauty and joy, almost like an inner call to create something healing when the world feels heavy. I’m one of those people too. During that period, I found myself drawing again, not for any goal, but simply to feel alive and connected. It’s amazing how art becomes both our shelter and our voice. Did anyone else have a similar experience? ✨ Since Halloween is near, I wanted to share a master study I did a few years ago, inspired by Arthur Rackham. This piece, The Story-Teller, was originally drawn for Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving (1819). I didn’t read the story, but I loved the composition and the inking style, so I gave it a try using a brush pen with a few digital enhancements.

Can drawing without purpose still make you grow?
I call these my “meditation doodles.” They take quite a bit of time, but they’re my way to relax. They don’t have a specific meaning, just satisfying marks that help me unwind and enjoy the process. I did them very recently with my favourite Schneider pens, and they’re still not finished... I keep adding more details, and they keep spreading like an ivy 😊 When I do them, my inner voice keeps saying, “Stop and do more useful drawings! You're wasting your time.” But another voice whispers, “Keep doing them, they’re satisfying and make you happy.” Do you make doodles like this too? I’ve been wondering; can they actually help develop skills and spark creative ideas, or are they just a pleasant escape from structured practice? In other words, could they be an essential part of growing as an artist rather than just a distraction? I’d love to hear your thoughts. P.S. The cartoonish marks you might see are my daughter’s.. she loves sneaking into my sketchbook and adding her own touches 🤔

In my experience, I need to get to a certain emotional state to get the creative drawings out I don’t consider myself the most creative but I’m thinking on metaphors , metaphysics, religion , spirituality, filosofy , psychology and when looking for creativity . I do these type of doodles too , I think some are good to warm up but after 15 minutes I’m just being distracted.
Figure painting
Drawing the figure has come comfortable at some extend to me but the complete process of drawing and the adding color it’s still a struggle, as well as getting to a model that hold the pose at least 3 hours with good lighting.
