Ecojay, replacing Honeywell?
Honeywell has been my favorite zone controller for a decade now. However, we’ve all seen the quality drops over the last year. It seems ecojay is offering a better product and a better price. Check them out!

They have more features than honey well. All in one. Started to use them this year. Won’t turn back to Honeywell anytime soon. They also give you easy access to verify wiring with the clear front panel. Customer probably will never see it but if they do 😎.
Rare coil failure
From what I can tell, nothing was sprayed on this coil. The copper suction line leaving the aluminum header was completely corroded. These craters became pin holes over night. It drained the system in less than 24 hours. Most likely the cause is cheap materials. Of course the new one seemed to be made out of the same quality material. That’s Carrier for you. Coil came with no drain pan, no txv and a $1600 price tag at dealer cost.

Why 😵
New lesson for customers!
I made a buyer guide for customers. Check it out and give me suggestions for edits. I plan on making it cost $10. Lets make it worth the money. You will be able to share it with your customers for commission once the community grows!

Best gauges to use 2026??
I recently got the field piece wireless gauge with 2 Air sensors and 2 temp clamps. It has been a life changer. Really easy to use. Now I’m able to run a Virtual test on equipment. To send to clients once my work is complete. They may not be able to understand what’s going on with there system but at least they know where the unit is at when you left.
