Lately, I’ve been thinking about how becoming feels a lot like a game of chess. ♟️ Every move matters. Every decision has consequences. And sometimes the move that looks good in the moment can cost you something valuable later. I’m realizing that growth isn’t always about making the next move. Sometimes it’s about sitting still long enough to understand what’s in front of you. Not every opportunity deserves a yes. Not every situation requires a reaction. And not every person deserves access to the woman you’re becoming. I’m learning that I can’t keep making permanent decisions based on temporary emotions. Some moves require patience. Others require sacrifice. And some require the wisdom to recognize that what’s being offered isn’t worth what it could cost me. Becoming is teaching me to move with discernment, not emotion. Because I’m not just making decisions for the woman I am today. I’m making decisions that will impact the woman I’m becoming and the two little girls watching me become her. 🤍 Here’s a question for my fellow Pushers: Are you learning when to make your next move, or when to sit still and let things unfold?

I’m raising my daughters while God is still growing me. Some days, that growth requires an apology and the humility to admit my reaction came from something deeper. My children didn’t create my wounds, but my willingness to face them will shape how they experience my love. I’m still becoming and taking responsibility is part of that journey. 🤍

The subtitle has now been corrected, and the word “ strength “ is now spelled correctly, as it appeared on my original manuscript. I want to thank all of you for your support, concern, and honesty. Especially, our sister in this group who mentioned it. I was hoping to have it corrected before it stuck out.😱😩 Your willingness to speak on it meant so much to me, and I’m grateful to have a group that genuinely cares. Interestingly, this experience has given me the word strength and even deeper meaning for me.
