How do you rate your days? Ever feel the pressure to hit a “perfect ten”, in your work, your progress, your life? I was reading one of Liam’s older blog posts, and this line stuck with me: “Realistically, you never want to hit a solid ten. 10/10 days leave no room for improvement; therefore, the following day seems shit even if it’s an eight.” That hit hard. It’s a reminder that chasing perfection can quietly sabotage our momentum. Even genuinely good days start to feel like a letdown when we’re measuring against an impossible high. For those of us building in the AI automation space, this rings true. We celebrate breakthroughs, land clients (well… I’m still early in the game, so not a ton yet lol😅) and launch new tools. But the real progress? It happens on those solid “seven out of ten” days, the ones where we learn, iterate, and keep moving forward. Those days build resilience. They teach us to manage dips, stay grounded, and find joy in the process — not just the peaks. So what if we stopped chasing tens and started honoring the sevens? They keep us hungry, humble, and ready for tomorrow’s growth. How do you manage expectations on your building journey? Drop your thoughts, I’d love to learn from your experience. 🌊 By the way, if you’ve been reading my posts and they’ve helped you in any way on your journey in this AI space, I’m genuinely happy to hear that. I’m still on this journey too, learning and building alongside you. Feel free to follow or turn on notifications if you’d like to catch future posts. I’d love to keep sharing the ride with you. ^^/ Again, thank you for reading this post, I appreciate it!
