Not removing blanket no pathology statement
I have a general statement at the end of IMPRESSION that the chest shows no pathology at the end of my PA/lateral template. The program does not remove this statement when I describe (for instance) a pleural effusion or infiltrate. Here's an example of the output. "IMPRESSION: - Bilateral moderate pleural effusions. - Status post-coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) with intact median sternotomy wires. - Increased anteroposterior (AP) diameter of the chest. No evidence of acute cardiopulmonary abnormalities, osseous lesions, or soft tissue pathology." I would imagine that the last statement should be removed because I describe pathology above it. Thanks!

TECHNIQUE: PA and lateral views of the chest FINDINGS: Lungs and Pleura: Lung fields are clear with no evidence of focal consolidation, pneumothorax, or pleural effusion. No masses, nodules, or cavitary lesions identified. Vasculature: Pulmonary vasculature is normal in caliber. Airways: Patent with no concerning tracheal shift. Heart, Mediastinum and Hilar structures: The cardiac silhouette is normal in size and contour. Mediastinum shows no evidence of mass or widening. Normal hilar contours. Bones and Soft Tissues: Bony thorax, including the ribs, clavicles, scapulae, and thoracic spine, is intact with no evidence of fracture, lytic lesions, or abnormal sclerosis. Soft tissues are unremarkable with no subcutaneous emphysema, masses or soft tissue calcifications. Other: No radiopaque foreign bodies identified. Included upper abdomen is unremarkable. IMPRESSION: Normal 2-view chest radiograph. No evidence of acute cardiopulmonary abnormalities, osseous lesions, or soft tissue pathology.
