I use AI to help me with CFO advisory services - research client websites, industry standards, making recommendations for improvements in finances. It affords me opportunity to interpret what is relevant to my clients and how to help them being more successfull in the businesses.

📂 ChatGPT Now Has a Proper File Library
Ever uploaded a document to ChatGPT and then spent 10 minutes trying to find it again three days later? OpenAI quietly introduced a Library feature back in March 2026 ... and it's now available to all users, including free accounts. It solves one of the most annoying things about ChatGPT. Here's how it works. Every file you upload to ChatGPT ... PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images ... gets saved automatically to your Library. Same goes for any files ChatGPT creates for you, including generated images. The useful bit is you can pull any saved file back into a new chat. Just use the attachment menu and choose "Add from library." No more scrolling through months of old conversations. A few things worth knowing: - Your chats are NOT stored in Library ... it's purely for files - Memories are separate too ... Library doesn't touch those - Project files live in their own space inside Projects - Deleting a chat doesn't delete the files you uploaded ... they stay in Library until you remove them Storage depends on your plan. Free gets 500MB. Plus and Business get 20GB. Pro gets 100GB. My honest take? It sounds small but it changes how you work. If you're regularly uploading client templates, engagement letters, or reference documents ... you only need to upload them once. Then reuse them across any conversation. Having said that, I prefer to keep important files that I want to be referenced often as 'project files'. And I find myself now working mainly inside Codex (ChatGPT) and Cowork. Have you spotted the Library in your ChatGPT yet? Are you using it? 👇

I have noticed the Library but found it was empty and did not go back to it. Thanks for bringing it again to my attention.

I use ChatGpt to help me write difficult emails to difficult clients. ChatGpt is so much with words in those instances.

I use ChatGpt to analise data and spot trends. The effort to anonymise documents and info is quite a challenge. I also use it the help me answer client emails or prepare emails that I can send to clients. I have created my own GPTs to perform these things. My biggest concern about using AI is how secure is the client data. Is my Library in ChatGpt secure?

@Mark Wickersham Thank you for the confirmation on how the privacy works in the case of Custom GPTs.
