Thank You for the gift of life on this new day. And thank You for Your light that dispels the darkness of this world and allows us to see and share the light of Your love. Thank You for the loving kindness and compassion You give to everyone. It is “Because of [Your] faithful love we do not perish, for [Your] mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22 CSC)! You are an impartial God and we beseech You to help us learn to strive to mirror You and be merciful, selfless, and sensitive to the needs of others. Give us the wisdom and strength to obey Your Son, our Savior, Who said, “This is My commandment, that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another, just as I have loved you” (John 15:12 AMP). In Jesus’ name we pray.
