PEPTIDE SPOTLIGHT: BPC-157
🧬 If you’ve been looking into peptides for recovery, inflammation or injuries, chances are you’ve come across BPC-157. BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide based on a sequence found in a protective protein in the stomach. It’s being researched for its potential role in tissue repair, recovery and inflammation. 🔬 WHAT IS BPC-157 BEING STUDIED FOR? ✨ Tendon & ligament recovery ✨ Muscle recovery ✨ Tissue repair ✨ Inflammation ✨ Gut health & protection ✨ Injury recovery You’ll also commonly see BPC-157 combined with other peptides. 🦸‍♀️ WOLVERINE STACK BPC-157 + TB-500 💙 KLOW A larger blend that combines BPC-157 + TB-500 + KPV + GHK-Cu, bringing together peptides being researched for recovery, inflammation, tissue repair and skin health. I personally like learning about the purpose of each peptide instead of just seeing a stack name and having no idea what’s actually in it. There’s a LOT more to cover, so I’ll spotlight TB-500, KPV and GHK-Cu individually too! 💬 Which one should we break down next? For education and discussion only. Not medical advice.

Holding myself accountable
3 weeks apart. And this is with me honestly slacking at the gym because... summer. 😂☀️ Between kids out of school, work and just being a mom, getting to the gym consistently hasn't been happening. But I'm still doing what I can with everyday life happening. And looking at these side by side, the changes might be subtle, but I can see them 👀 And let's be honest, I'm horrible at gym photos 🤣 Strength training when I can Protein + nutrition Peptides – part of my personal journey Staying active through everyday life The changes in 3 weeks might be subtle, but when I look back at where I was 6 months ago, the difference is huge. Sometimes I need to remind myself how far I've already come instead of always focusing on how far I still want to go. Progress doesn't require perfection. Just keep going. ❤️

WOMEN'S HEALTH 101: COULD IT BE PERIMENOPAUSE?
Let's talk about something I don't think women are prepared for nearly enough... PERIMENOPAUSE. A lot of us grow up hearing about menopause, but nobody really explains that the transition can start years before your periods actually stop. Perimenopause is the time leading up to menopause when hormones, particularly estrogen and progesterone, begin fluctuating. And yes... you can still have regular or mostly regular periods and be experiencing symptoms. 🌸 WHAT CAN IT FEEL LIKE? Every woman is different, but symptoms can include: 🔥 Hot flashes or night sweats 😴 Trouble sleeping 🧠 Brain fog & difficulty concentrating 😩 Changes in mood or irritability 🩸 Changes in your periods ❤️ Changes in sex drive 💧 Vaginal dryness or discomfort 🤕 Headaches ⚡ Changes in energy 💪 Changes in body composition 🦴 Changes in bone health over time And one of the frustrating parts? Symptoms can change throughout the transition. ⚖️ “WHY DOES MY BODY FEEL DIFFERENT?” This is a BIG one. Midlife changes can affect where we store body fat, and aging is also associated with gradual losses of muscle unless we're actively working to maintain it. That doesn't mean weight gain is inevitable. But it does mean the things we could get away with at 25 may not work exactly the same way at 35, 40 or 45. 😂 This is where some of the basics become REALLY valuable: 🥩 Get adequate protein 💪 Strength train regularly 🚶‍♀️ Stay active 🥗 Eat enough nutritious food 😴 Prioritize sleep as much as real life allows 🦴 Take muscle and bone health seriously ❤️ Don't ignore symptoms that are affecting your quality of life 🩺 YOU DON'T HAVE TO JUST “DEAL WITH IT” If symptoms are bothering you, talk to a healthcare professional. There are different approaches to managing perimenopause symptoms, including lifestyle changes and, for appropriate women, menopausal hormone therapy and other treatments. And because symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes or irregular bleeding can have causes other than perimenopause, it's worth having the conversation rather than assuming hormones explain everything.

WOMEN'S HEALTH 101: ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF
AND PLEASE... ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF This is something I'm really passionate about. If you KNOW something has changed in your body and you're being told: “Your bloodwork is normal, so everything is fine.” ...don't be afraid to keep asking questions. Routine bloodwork can be really valuable for looking for other things that may be contributing to how you feel, but perimenopause isn't always something that shows up neatly on one hormone panel. Hormones can fluctuate significantly throughout this stage, so your symptoms, cycle changes, health history and overall picture matter too. If you don't feel heard, it's okay to seek another opinion. That might mean talking with: 👩‍⚕️ Your family doctor 🌸 A menopause-focused physician or nurse practitioner 🌿 A licensed naturopathic doctor 👩‍⚕️ Another qualified women's-health professional The goal isn't conventional vs. natural medicine. It's finding someone who listens, takes your symptoms seriously and helps you understand your options. 🧪 WHAT ABOUT DUTCH TESTING? You'll also hear about DUTCH testing, which uses dried urine samples to measure hormones and hormone metabolites. Some integrative and naturopathic practitioners use it as an additional tool when looking at hormone patterns. But it's important to understand that DUTCH testing isn't required to diagnose perimenopause, and no single hormone test gives us the entire picture during this transition. I'm all for learning, asking questions and exploring different approaches. Just remember: A lab result should be one piece of information, not the only thing determining whether your symptoms are real. ❤️ Listen to your body. Ask questions. And find a healthcare professional who will listen too.
