@Ricardo Arellano Well then, @Grant Pratt is your guy! You are basically "building" a machine from scratch. you just have a fixed size table to work with for now

@Grant Pratt Maybe you can break down the individual components needed to get him started? Like you need the motors, then the motor controllers, then wiring for gantry, then wiring for the plasma nozzle itself. I don't have a machine myself yet but I imagine the components are very similar to a 3D printer.
Build or buy?
I want to pull the trigger soon on a plasma table. How much money can be saved by building your own? Those Langmuir tables seem pretty cheap for what they are. Convince me on the best path forward. I plan on making personal parts or potentially small scale production volume. If I have a product truly take off, I will most likely outsource it. Whats besr for my needs?

@Grant Pratt Thanks for the reply. This sounds exactly like the 3D printer market. The machines today are so affordable at scale that its hard to compete. Even if you already know what youre doing.

Is this.... an AI song?
Universal CNC table
@Grant Pratt Do you have any experience mounting toolheads onto the CNC gantry that arent plasma cutters? My idea is to attach some kind of blade, or maybe even diode laser, to quickly cut..... cardboard! Cardboard can help create prototypes very quickly and affordably. Let me know if you have any other suggestions for large rapid prototyping that doesnt break the bank.

@Grant Pratt Thats a great practical solution. I could easily program a z hop for dashed bend lines too. Hopefully I can get to building myself a table in the next year or so. Please stay active in here long enough for me to get going 🙏
