What type of camera (or phone) are you using to record your content?
I was looking into getting an action camera to vlog as well as create music videos for social media

Lighting and shooting settings are key. you can use your phone for most of your content, as long as the lighting is good. most modern phones have great quality cameras, but folks have no idea how to set them up to shoot properly. Potrait video, with a nice ring light will do wonders. I have s10edge, btw.

@Bryan Burnett you should never use the yellow. if you want that type of lighting, natural light next to the window is your best bet. Yellow looks mad artificial. It's gon take some practice to figure out the lighting. YouTube will be your friend, honestly.

Consistency builds confidence. On everything. In every way.
Food For Thought
How often do you not utilize the information you have learned? For me I spend so much time trying to learn so much that in my grind to obtain so much information I actually forget to put that knowledge into action. Does this happen to anyone else? What are some tips you would give to help someone like me?

I take notes for later. Some are detailed ones, some are just one liners. Some make it to my to-do list if they are relevant to the current direction of my brand. Often I like an episode of a podcast, or add it to my watch later. I bookmark sites and fold over pages in books for reference. Sometimes I take a break from ingesting so much information, as it can be overwhelming. I'm sure you're utilizing plenty of what you learned. Maybe just not at the pace you want. You don't have to do everything at once. This is a process that gets better with time. Use what's relevant. Make a note of what may be relevant to you later.
Utilizing real world interaction in building a fanbase
Lately, in addition to my content marketing strategy and social media ads, I've been doing an open mic tour within a 3 hour radius of where i live. I'm about a fourth of the way through my plan and I've been introduced to several new creative communities and gained a few dozen followers as well. How do y'all feel about in person marketing efforts? Are y'all implementing any?

@Harold Wolfinger Thanks. Definitely gonna check you out. Lately just been trying to keep the consistency. I didn't want to add to much to my efforts just yet, but some of my friends have captured most of the performances on their phones. I'm doing one of these every quarter as I build up my fanbase. We're working on bettering the quality of video we capture for marketing purposes, moving forward. I find that we get so caught up in having an internet presence, we sometimes forget that our audiences aren't profiles. They're people. So I'm outside with it as much as I can be.
What are your thoughts on the Larussel business model?
He's doing some innovative things like giving his fans royalties to certain songs so that they can earn money as he grows his music business. Can you see yourself doing this?

@Harold Wolfinger @Bryan Burnett It's a music funding site that will advance artists a sum of money in exchange for their streaming royalties until the sum has been paid back or the term of the agreement is up. I know several people who've gained funding from their company
